★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very intimate place. The staff were super nice and the food... oh... AMAZING.
You can actually share the taste menu with someone else and you should be good, and is also a great option to try all of their stuff.
If you're not up for eating, please ask for the coffee ceremony. It's definitely an experience and probably one of the most aromatic drinks you'll ever have.
Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tonight was my first visit to NUNU and my first time having Ethiopian food. Wow! Flavours I have never experienced. Everything was so delicious. We started with an onion soup, a salad with a samosa and some toast with home made cheese. My favourite was our entree. We were brought a HUGE plate with an array of different vegetables, meats all on this amazing bread I have never had before. The entree is eaten with bare hands using the bread to pick up the amazing ingredients. The bread is like no bread I have ever had before. It is kind of like a cross between a crepe/pancake but not quite. Amazing. The owners Nunu and Chris were great hosts! Such a unique experience. I can't wait to go back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Iconic and fabulous - their signature cocktail is out of this world. There are so many excellent spots for Ethiopian cusine in Toronto but you can't miss Nunu. Even just a coffee or tea on the go is easily better than the other coffee shops in the area. A great spot for group dinners, the vibe is beautiful and the lighting at night is very picture worthy. You can't miss with anything on the menu with Nunu's. I am personally obsessed with the daahl. You can also buy spiced tea, frankincense, and traditional coffee carafe, the Jebena here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ambience and food is excellent! The owner kept checking on us to see if we liked the food and if we need anything else. When we finished our meal she asked what we were doing after, and I said it's my husband's birthday so before we left she surprised us with a complimentary creme brulee with a candle! That was also very delicious and very sweet of her! Place is beautiful, food and drinks are great, staff is extremely friendly -highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Possibly the best Ethiopian food I have ever had - and I have been to Ethiopia as well as a few Ethiopian restaurants in DC, NYC and LA. We had the meat and veggie platter, everything was incredibly delicious even the salad; spices are addictive; injera is the perfect texture and sourness; generous portion. Everyone at the restaurant is so friendly too. The signature cocktail is also delicious. Photos do not do it justice. Already planning to go back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ love this ethiopian restaurant! so tasty, priced well, and even has a bar. the atmosphere was rlly nice i love how they dim the lights at night. my sisters and i got so much food and was satisfied at the end. always so pleased with how ethiopian cuisine has such a great vegan/vegetarian food variety which tastes so good btw. would definitely come again
