This clinic declined medical care to an 8 year-old fully vaccinated child for a non-covid issue. When are we going to have access to medical services in Ontario again? According to nurse Megan, the dr denied access for treatment. Is that even allowed under the Hippocratic Oath?

I was told I have no infection and sent home with nothing, after a week; I got severe throat and was told yes you need antibiotics! So I had to be in pain for couple of days before she decided to give me antibiotics? Why is it so hard now a day for DR to prescribe antibiotics! Fever for 3 to 4 days and miss 3 days of work cause she refused to do her job.

Worst place ever! Don't waste your time by going there. They will disrespect you! They simply don't care about you. They will just scan your health card to guarantee their money then leave you to wait for many hours in your car! The staff are unprofessional and they don't deserve the honor to be called health care practitioners.

Not impressed...at all. I saw a doctor there over a month ago. I was visiting, and from out of town . This was a walk in clinic. I was in residual pain and had ringing in my ears specifically on the left side of my head. This has continually been going on for a few weeks, and I sought more medical attention. I had been diagnosed with "transgeminal neuralgia". . The doctor I saw was decent enough at the time. He wrote a referral for me to see an ENT. I followed up, but was told my wait to see an ENT would be 12-18 months. That seems to be a rather lengthy time to wait when in constant pain. I contacted sometime in my home town of Ottawa, who could have set up an appointment for me to see a specialist sooner than in 12-18 months. I asked the original " walk in clinic doctor" to send a new referral to the ENT in my home area. He flat out refused. Why? My referral of 1 month was "too old." I stated that my symptoms had remained the same. He said, " go to a walk in clinic in your home area and start over." Seriously? This is good medical attention? I was so upset . Why would he not write a new referral? I'm just trying to advocate for myself, and take the best care I know how. I am appalled. Bedside manner is non existent . Is this good doctoring? I think not . No stars of satisfaction here, just poor medical doctor follow up .

DO NOT waste your time going to this clinic… While I understand the current situation both locally and globally, I’d hope that facilities such as this have used their experiences over the past 2-3 years and figured out a method of operation that works best. Clearly the folks at North Burlington Medical have not done so… the wait times are incredibly long! I have been waiting for over an hour and a half in the car for the doctor to call. It has been almost 55 minutes since the nurse called to do the initial β€œ Covid screening β€œ. Customer service in this facility is incredibly poor, to the point that you can’t even have a logical conversation with the receptionists, and they repeat scripted responses, and tell you they can’t look into anything at the moment, or they are not sure why things are taking so long…. In Addition to the above, if you show up and β€œ walk in β€œ like the name suggests, you are placed on a list a mile long next to people who have booked online appointments. Why in the world are we still booking online appointments at the same time as walk in appointment. This defeats the purpose of walking in to a clinic as the doctor quote on quote β€œ prefers to see virtual patience first before in person patience patience's” ( this was what the receptionist has outlined to me ) Anyways, do us all a favour and seek assistance at any other clinic in Burlington other than NORTH BURLINGTON MEDICAL on appleby line.

I don’t often write reviews for establishments but I felt that my experience with this clinic justifies this review. I called about a sore throat suspecting strep throat due to the presence of white dots and a small lump under my jaw on my throat, I simply called hoping to be given an antibacterial prescription. The doctor asked me to email images of my throat so she could assess, and so I made two attempts however the images were never sent through successfully. I called the doctor again and explained my situation and, without seeing anything or having any physical grounds to base her diagnosis, she told me to use basic home remedies and it should clear up on its own. I complied however was understandably unsatisfied and therefore drove to the walk in clinic in person in an attempt to physically show that it may be worse than she suspected. Upon arriving I was told that I cannot just β€œwalk in” and ask to see the doctor when she had already spoken to me earlier that day. I explained respectfully that I understood however I simply felt that no diagnosis should be made without a physical examination of the area and such little information given. The employee then told me that as the doctor had already spoken to me earlier that day that she would not see me and that they were closed to any new patients, half an hour before their advertised close time. I finished by asking if I could simply be written a prescription for an anti bacterial to be safe, and she told me that they could do nothing for me. I can’t imagine that should my case have been more serious that a doctor would deny a concerned patient like that, I was under the impression that there was a certain level of care within the profession. Does not seem to be the case at this clinic.

I was misdiagnosed by this walk in clinic. I had a fever of 38.2C half an hour before I arrived to the clinic. The lady who took my temperature with a temperature gun said my temperature was 36.8.I told the doctor that I suspected I got strep throat. The doctor didn’t even check my temperature and looked in to my throat and said it wasn’t strep. I could clearly see the white spots myself. I had a fever of 38.3C when I got home and the next day went and saw another doctor who then diagnosed me with strep and prescribed antibiotics for 7 days. If Strep throat doesn’t get diagnosed early, it could lead to heart rheumatism. I do not recommend this place at all.

Walked in this morning and was pleasently received by reception. Then asked to wait in my car until the nurse called me in because the waiting room was closed due to covid. Within 10 minutes I was called to come back in where I was directed to a room and then told that the nurse would be in shortly. Within a few minutes the nurse came in with a very nice and warm welcome. She examined my sutures on my scalp that needed removing. She then told me that the doctor would be coming in to take a closer look. Within 10 minutes the doctor came in with a very pleasant demeaner. She looked at my scalp and asked me a few questions and then patiently listened to my questions and concerns. Once that was done the doctor said the nurse would be back in to start removing my stitches. I had apprehension about this procedure as the wound was still quite tender. The nurse couldn't have been more gentle and reassuring. Once she was done, the doctor came back in for a final examination. All this took a total of 1 hour. Wonderfully efficient! I would highly recommend this clinic and am thankful for my good fortune of finding this place.
