Mountain Man Outdoors was founded by Paul Augustine and his brother Lloyd back in 1981. They started out in a 9 x 36 foot trailer in Jaffray, East of Cranbrook. Today, more than 30 years later, Mountain Man Outdoors has grown into a full service retailer of the finest outdoor products available.

Made an out of towner feel welcome. If you are flying in for a hunt, dont bother bringing ammo, save aggravation at airport and just go here they have it.

I passed through Cranbrook going to tour parts of BC and stopped in where she showed me a number of guns that might be ideal for me. On my way back through I came back because I enjoyed my experience with her and wanted to support a smaller business. Ultimately I went with a Browning 6.5 Creedmoor Hell's Canyon and I'm very pleased with my choice. Not sure the size they had was going to work so she discussed options with me for a gift card or take the ones that might fit and exchange after Christmas for what we needed to order. Good service so decided to go with this store and use the options to get where it would work.
