Came to the shop after my rear spring broke. I was told that they can't find the spring anywhere and need to get it from the Mercedes dealership. The price that I was quoted was $288 for the spring and 1 hour labor. I decided to call to the dealership and check the price for the part and surprisingly it was only $142. I came to the shop to do the fix and wanted to confirm that I was quoted only for one spring and not two. I was told this price is for only one. I asked why the price you charging me for the part is double? The guy told me that they are not charging the actual part price and if I want I can buy and bring it. I told him ok. Then he told me that in this case he have to charge me 1.5 hours labor which sounds like unreasonable why the labor time should be impacted by the part?!? I took my deposit back and left the shop. I feel that they wanted to scam me and will never go back there again!!! be careful going into this shop!!! Not recommended at all!

I used to go to Midas for my oil changes. At the time, my car was brand new and didn't need any work done whatsoever. On my last visit, the mechanic/technician removed and hid one of my wheel lug nuts (the lock) and tried to tell me that he discovered the lock was missing ('possibly fell off or someone stole it'). This piece can't even be removed without the proper tool (key)...... He went on to tell me they can sell me a new one (which according to him only comes in a box set. Costing me $150). I will never go to this shop again. They stole, they lied, and they tried to cheat me.

I went here for the first time in March 2021 and I was very pleased with the service I received. I came here because there was noise coming from my exhaust and I knew I had a hole somewhere near my catalytic converter, but I hadn't been shown the actual damage (while on a hoist), until I got to Midas. Prior to going to Midas, my dealership took a look at the underbody and said that because my exhaust was old and that the connections were rusty, that they would have to potentially replace the entire exhaust system. Suggesting that once they disconnected one part, it would damage the connected piece (because of the rusted connection) and then they would have to replace that part, and so on and so on. So the bottom line is, Honda said that IF they had to replace my whole exhaust, it would be approximately $6,400. And my thoughts on this? Well...I knew that overall, my exhaust was in pretty good condition (based on what I've seen in the past and factoring in my careful maintenance of the car), so this assessment was ridiculous to me, and my plan was to go elsewhere. I Googled the best reviewed muffler shop in my region, and Midas Muffler on Highway 24 came up, so I thought I would give them a try. When I brought my car into Midas, Ian had the mechanic put the car on a hoist and show me the damage. He said that overall, my exhaust looked fine (other than the small portion with the hole in it) and it certainly DID NOT require full placement. As I suspected. And even when it came to replacing the part where the hole was, they saved on costs by not replacing the part, but by just cutting out the small portion of pipe where the hole was, and welding in a new piece of pipe. The entire repair was just a few inches long. And the total price for doing this was $60 plus tax. That's it!!! And God knows how much I would've spent had I done the repair through Honda. So the bottom line is, I'm very grateful for the honest and skillful people at Midas who's priority is to look out for their customers, instead of lining their pockets. And to wrap up this story, I ended up getting a couple other services done while I was there as I was so impressed with their honesty, transparency and quality of work. Ian was friendly, patient and accommodating and worthy of acknowledgement. I will definitely be coming here again and I applaud you guys for the good work you're doing.

I purchased summer tires here and on the installation date I was pressed for time and even though the shop was down a couple of employees that day, Hardeep made sure I got the car back in time! Friendly, competent and the price was good.

Yesterday I had my son's Micra in for work. I would like to compliment you and your crew for the great service. From taking it in and having an honest appraisal of the work needed, to arranging same day service later in the afternoon and fair bill. No hidden fees, no attempts to upsell, just a great experience.

I moved from Alberta to Kitchener last month. For Ontario registration i need to have my car’s safety certificate done so I came to Midas Auto last week. I have been driving my car since last year and drove 4000 kilometres from Edmonton to Kitchener and my car didn’t gave me a single problem. Midas auto did safety check and gave me list of things to be done to pass safety evaluation. I agreed to them a had all things done. I even brought my car in A1 condition. After the things were done and i was driving back to home on Hwy 401, my car started showing me traction service/traction failure. I was at 100km/h and suddenly i lost control over my race and then my steering wheel jammed.i was going to be hit by a truck and number pf cars honked at me as my car was out of comtrol. I know how i managed to pull my car on one of the exits and I called Midas back that my car broke on the way home. They called the toeing company and got my car toed. Then I came back to midas on toe van and they told me that accidentally the oil filter was not properly closed and it was leaking. I didn’t say them anything because i thought anyone can do such mistake and there was no issue to fight. In the night on the same day (today-19 August,2021 at 10:30) i was driving with my sister and her kid to Guelph. Again same thing happened my car broke on Hwy401 and my steering got jammed at 100km/h. And i know how much difficult it was with the whole family to take control over the car with no steering wheel working and race pedal not working. Now, no one is picking call at Midas because it is closed now. Now I called toeing company and I am going to park my car at Midas at Cambridge. God saved me twice in one day, but I don’t think Midas Cambridge wanted me or my family to see alove. If they do not know how to repair cars, they should first get some experience on bicycles.
