★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was slow, but the food is cheap and good. Menu is simple but with enough variety.
Another downside was the shop was extremely stuffy and humid, even with the door opened. I hope management will treat their staff better in the future. Parking is also very difficult and tight if there are already cars parked in the lot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Desi food mart its located on hespler road south facing east right next to RAS staffing. They have plenty of space for car parking. Each product have updated price tags which is clearly visible they do not vary when i went to cashier counter. Also, some people reviews when i read looks like they were personally attacked for some reason. I dont make any money for this review but honestly try their food as well you will find the difference. I totally recommend this store anytime for any type of grocery. Vegetable were fresh.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great place for Indian Punjabi style take out food. I ordered a set meal also known as a Thali. It comprised of two Roti type flat breads, three vegetable curries, spicy yogurt, rice and one Gulab Jamun. The meal was packed in a sturdy tray with a lid. This tasty and filling meal cost just $7 plus tax! Great value for money! Service was a little slow but courteous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What really ticked me off is that their management and some of the male staff dont wear masks in the store. The women all wear them but the management is male and they dont think they have to, even while they are sneezing and coughing around open food and open vegetables. They think they are too cool. Its a by law in Cambridge people. Like it or not you're not too cool to not abide by it. I told them once they should and they said sure sure we will... next time I go there its the same. If they aren't abiding by such a visible by law and the staff are too chicken to call out their manager for not wearing a mask at the height of covid infections I can't imagine they will adhere to other food safety regulations either. We got food from there once it wasn't good. Its really cheap.. but not tasty. The grocery store is big with lots of stuff. But I can't support a place that is visibly flaunting by laws in Cambridge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Store is really good. You can get all the Indian stuff from here including Indian pots and pans. I was looking for a milk pan for a long time and found it here. Food is inexpensive and of good quality, didn’t like their mango lassi tho, else everything is great(veggie options). Food service might be bit slow sometimes but overall great service.
