★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the place to bring your vehicle. Kal knows how to fix things so they stay fixed, and he has very fair prices. Today I was in with a battery issue.. his son Mohammed ran checks for 20 minutes, and then didn't want to charge me anything!!! You would not find that ANY where else in Ottawa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just got my timing belt done on my 09 Golf, which is a pain in the butt job because you have to remove an engine mount and all kinds of suff.. pretty big job! They had it done the same day I dropped the car off. great price too! thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just needed someone to replace my camshaft sensor, I already purchased the part. Called around to at least 6 nearby garages, everyone quoted 1-1.5 hours of work, ranging from $120-$180. Merivale Auto Center returned my call with a quote of 30 minutes, $50. Got it in and drove it home the same day. Paid $50 +tax. Honest quote, very happy customer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality and honesty are the best words to resume my overall experience at Merivale Auto Center.
I needed a safety inspection on my car and it was done perfectly (minor repairs). They were always in contact to inform me of prices, stuff to repair, etc. No surprises with non essential work and very fair prices. They also respect carefully the health and safety measures put in place by the authorities (COVID-19) and I was able to pay with etransfer.
Great place, great people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely poor service. I came over twice from the OTHER end of the city, with a friend, because I was told my car would be ready. It was not ready. TWICE. Third time, I had to Uber - costing me about $40 dôllars - to get my car. Had to ask for a receipt. They had no system of generating receipts for clients. Careless and dismissive attitude toward clients was evident. I was, on top, overcharged for items and most probably asked to pay for things that were not immediately required. Would not recommend service, especially for women wishing requiring help on their own. No one pays to experience dismissing and paternalistic attitude.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took our 08 Volvo in for a safety after purchasing the car privately. 3 weeks later while getting snow tire put on at a tire shop, they noticed the rear brakes were locked on and continually dragging. Brake rotors and callipers were red hot as well they noticed an exhaust leak. The mechanic at the tire shop was clear to show us and inform us this should never have passed safety. This shop also messed up the safety certificate causing us to have to make extra trips to the shop delaying getting the car transferred to our name. We will never do business with this shop and encourage others to research before using any shop. These reviews are helpful so others don't get taken advantage of or put themselves or others at risk driving an unsafe car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely poor service. Firstly a long wait in the line and then you didn’t get any receipts for the payments as proof. Way of talking very bad and tries to cheat by not telling truth. He asked me for $1100 for service and the other mechanic did the same thing in $350

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very long wait time to get work done on your car at this location. If you plan on taking your car here plan on leaving it overnight. Even though wait time is long, I'm always happy to take my car to this location because of the great customer service and great job that they do. Also if you need your car in and out fast, talk to the owner? He'll let you know if he can get you in and out same day.
