The soup is quite different from other ramen’s restaurants in Vancouver. Soup tasted creamy and thick ( I guess they put some smashed potatoes in it). People who prefer strong seasoning ramen will love this store (especially the spicy one), not recommend to the people who like light soup ramen. The in-store service are good. Highly recommend the Tsukemen!

Arrived early to beat the crowds so we were seated fairly quickly. I ordered the classic tsukemen and smoked duck. Other at my table had a ramen, which I was told was kind of bland. And another had the spot prawn special. While it was very tasty, he felt sick later that evening. The different sliced meats were a bit underwhelming. One was chicken breast which was soft.. but it was just plain chicken breast. One piece tasted exactly like plain ham, and the final piece of meat was extremely salty. For the price of just under $20 before taxes I was expecting more. For 4 bowls and a smoked duck for all of us to share, the final bill was $80. A bit steep for ramen.

Delicious ramen with fish-based shoyu broth! I tried the special feature: Amaebi Ramen and it definitely has an intense prawn taste. ? ? very thick and fragrant. The ajitama ? and prawn was cooked to perfection. ? You are provided with a insulated pot of soup stock (fish-based) that’s meant to be poured into your own bowl to dilute the broth so you can slurp up more soup. Will come back to try other things on their menu!!

This ramen place's claim to fame is that it was voted Japan's best ramen restaurant. Most Vancouver ramen lovers might be disappointed that they use tsukemen noodles instead of the familiar yellow ramen noodles. They use different kinds of broth from traditional pork, to chicken and even prawn this season. I believe this may even be imported frozen from Japan. The broth is thick, creamy and has a simple natural taste from boiling the right natural ingredients rather than using flavorings and spices. I really liked the chicken broth and traditional chashu pork. But the chashu chicken was excellent and great for people who don't eat pork. The rosu or pork tenderloin was so tasty and tender, I even had it as a side dish. The tsukemen noodles were just a bit over al dente giving a wonderful texture. Reasonable prices for the quality.

I tried their special ramen set (comes with a small bowl of sakura shrimp rice) and the food is very flavorful, love it! Definitely will visit again and try their signature dishes next time. Besides that, I like their interior design of the dining area and friendly services. Two thumbs up!

Classic ramen experience! I was in and out in half an hour and enjoyed a comforting meal. I tried the Menya Itto Chashu Tsukemen (love tsukemen!). The dipping broth was flavourful and rich and arrived PIPING hot. They recommend that you eat your ramen in 15 minutes, and they weren't kidding. At the 15 minute mark, the dipping broth was no longer like molten lava. Get the chashu! Every piece was incredibly tender (did they sous vide the chicken breast, seriously?!) The portion size was perfect for me and could have done with less noodles. Having the wadashi in a thermos was a nice touch. The broth was delicious. There were a lot of nice touches in the restaurant -- a basket was under my chair for my belongings, and even though my server gave me tips on how to eat my ramen, it was nice to see the little sign on the table.

The Tsukemen was delicious, rich, tasty. I really like the carafe of soup stock they give you after the noodles are done so you can thin out the dipping sauce and drink it as soup. The service was great. The spicy powder (which they make in house) is actually really spicy and very good.

A good spot for tsukemen! Had to check out this new spot on Robson. My friend and I got here at 7:15pm and waited in line for 40 minutes. The line was quite long and wrapped around a bit but someone did come out to take down your name. It’s still the soft opening so the menu was limited. I got the deluxe tsukemen. Comes with a delicious thick broth for dipping and then a separate bowl of cold noodles, 6 pieces of meat and an egg. Super yummy and flavourful. There’s also additional broth in a pot that you can dilute the thicker broth at the end to drink. Delicious meal for under $20 after tax and tips.
