โ โ โ โ โ Authentic Taiwanese food in Richmond.
Their Lu rou fan (ๆปท่้ฅญ) is probably one of my favourite Taiwanese dishes of all time. It's a comforting bowl of warm white rice and tender minced meat in a soy marinade and a hard boiled egg. I was happy to see that their previous location on No3 moved to Garden City Road, as they are able to provide more seating.
If you love Taiwanese desserts, check out their sister restaurant "Sweet Memory" for grass jelly dessert and taro balls.

โ โ โ โ โ What a great experience. From the decor to the food it's great. My mother in law said it reminded her of being in the village she grew up in. The chicken nuggets alone are well worth the hype. The pork floss egg roll was so light and packed full of filling. The noodles were great and the braised beef noodle soup was delicious. Will definitely be back for many more sessions.

โ โ โ โ โ Used to be my favourite Taiwanese restaurant but the quality has gone way down since they moved the location.
Cabbage: tasteless, definitely one of the worst dishes Iโve had.
Three cups abalone mushroom: not impressive too much sesame oil which gave it a bitter taste.
Chicken nuggets: I really enjoyed this dish before but unfortunately the one I had was too peppery, chicken was crispy but dry.
Pork blood: vegetarian dish, the texture was like rice cake, and the sauce was well balanced.
Lamb belly soup: strong gingery flavour and herbal taste and the lamb was marinated well.
All in all, Iโd come back for the soup and pork blood and wonโt recommend other dishes because the quality is so inconsistent.

โ โ โ โ โ This place has an awesome chinese vintage style/decoration with an awesome atmosphere.
We went there for dinner and ordered 5 dishes. We loved the tea which they served at the tables, and some of the ingredients in the dishes were pretty tasty, like the lamb and the deep fried squid. Some of the dished seemed like they were prepared previously and just reheated, especially the wontons and the lamb noodles.
The service was good, and the staff were pretty friendly and helpful.
Also, music didn't go so well with the theme and the mood. I think it would have been much better if the music was also from the same era and region, which the decoration is supposed to resemble, rather than modern high beat electronic or English pop music.
We enjoyed our night, but the experience could have been better.

โ โ โ โ โ Late dinner on Friday with some friends, we just made the last call, sorry. Service was the fast Chinese standard service, food was ok. Maybe I donโt like whatโs on the menu, I havenโt had a great experience with them at all, but yet they have won many awards. Take my experience with a grain of salt, last call may not be the best timing neither.

โ โ โ โ โ We went with friends for lunch in a weekday, the decoration is great, the food was genuine and tasted good. The only thing we did not like was the furniture to sit, the wood benches were very uncomfortable and we did not have a place to hang a coat or a purse. Only younger generation would probably endure sitting on those benches. They do not accept reservation and it is first come basis...

โ โ โ โ โ This meal felt like a sort of comfort food for me. We tried the lamb stir fried rice, beef rolls, deep fried chicken, and a noodle dish. The fried chicken was juicy and tender while still being crispy on the outside. The service was extremely fast. We got our food in just a few minutes.
My only complaint is the menu could use some work. There were hundreds of items on the menu but no images or recommendations. It was very difficult to order.

โ โ โ โ โ Great value, excellent service. Order right from your phone. Get the fried chicken nuggets (skip the seafood โpancakeโ). Spacious interior allows for social distanced tables. I wish the online menu had accompanying photos but we still got a good spread. It does get fairly busy around dinner time. Loved the interior.
