โ โ โ โ โ I was really expecting friendlier staff. The fabric was a nice quality, but pricy - though that was anticipated for what I was looking for. As soon as we got inside, we overheard a staff member complaining that she had โnever seen so many new people in the store and didnโt understand why they were all thereโ. We stopped in about 25 minutes to close, and within 2-3 minutes of being inside we were reminded that they โclosed in ten minutesโ, with no real effort to help us when we tried to ask. We had no intention of staying to close, as we knew what we needed and thankfully managed to find it on our own, but the level of urgency and rush to get us out of the door was not pleasant at all. By the time we were out, it was only 5:49 and they locked the doors right behind us. As far as fabric shopping experiences go, Iโd have to say this is on the bottom rung of mine for customer service.

โ โ โ โ โ Beautiful variety of fabric and easy to shop for a new-ish sewer. All but one associate was lovely. She was bothered by my well behaved children (and my daughter was very excited to pick out fabric for a dress) and she made it obvious and uncomfortable. Other than that, Iโm happy to shop here when Iโm able to find child care!

โ โ โ โ โ First person I talked to at the front was very dismissive and rude. Thankfully I stuck around and was helped by other staff I approached to get the items and resources I was looking for. As someone newish to sewing, getting the right advise and supplies is crucial. I bought only the most minimal supplies I needed to get started experimenting and will get my fabric and the rest else where.
My advice for that older individual, is to point customers to other staff who can assist them, if it's something they're not up to or capable of handling.

โ โ โ โ โ I am so happy that they are back in business. This branch located in Richmond BC closed sometime last year, thanks to Google I read that they opened back in July. Shopping feels safe because they implement Covid protocol. A staff at the door welcomes you and sprays disinfectant on your hands, tells you they do not accept payment in cash. Everyone wears a mask inside the store and respectful of social distancing. They have very good deals and unlike other fabric stores in Vancouver, here you need not be a member to avail of the sale price. Below are some of the pretty ones I got. The flower prints at 56โ (approx) width are for $5.00 a yard, the flanelle spiderman and bees print at 43โ (approx) width are less than $10 a yard. Entrance is where the parking is, staff are efficient and friendly. Yes, parking is free.

โ โ โ โ โ Iโm not type of person to complain but after my experience with Fabricana ( Richmond) I felt obligated to make a review.
Although the store costume service exists but so unpleasant that I felt to give a slap on the skinny costume service ladyโs face . She was not only rude but also arrogant. She treats me not as costume but like she was doing a favor for me . I went to the store to get materials to pursue a hobby and have an enjoyable experience but instead I had vey bad experience and frustration after had expended my money this store.
I will never come back to this store again

โ โ โ โ โ Iโve honestly never written a review before but after leaving this store I feel I have too.
The First Lady I spoke with (middle aged Caucasian woman with blonde hair and glasses) was so rude and dismissive, and honestly just quite mean. Iโm new to sewing and shopping for fabric and was simply asking for some help and guidance and she made me feel stupid and small.
I could maybe understand if she was busy and helping other clients but she was not. I wanted to leave the store immediately after speaking with her.
However the only saving grace was a younger staff member who came over to help me after hearing my chat with the other staff. She was so nice and helpful that she is the only reason I stayed and the only reason I would ever return. (Younger Caucasian woman with brown hair). In my opinion she deserves a medal for working with such rude colleagues. I sincerely hope the first woman treats staff with more respect than she treated me with.
