Cheap out on the meat if you order noodles in soup. Best if you order brisket. If you pay by debit, the waiter choses the tip for you. Itโ€™s up to customer to tip the amount they see fit.

Chef Hung has superbly delicious dishes. They are not only known for their delicious beef noodles, but also for the various pastries/dumplings/buns and wraps. For the first time, we had their lunch combo special, which is comprised of both beef noodle soup, shredded beef on rice, pickled vegetable, mango pudding and a special drink. Each item in the lunch-combo is outstanding in its own right. We have been here many times (lunch and dinner) and have always had fantastic meals. Highly recommended!

Came to this restaurant hoping that it would be better than the one at ubc but apparently it is not. Pros: - Nice atmosphere/ambiance - Nice waiters - Fine noodles Cons: - Beef Noodle Soup's beef was not edible as it was so hard and chewy; it is impossible to digest it. The broth was not rich, not very hot, and slightly salty. I'm not sure what's so award-winning about it because it really didn't taste like it. - Steamed pork buns looked ok on the outside but falls apart immediately once you grab it with your chopsticks. The meat inside the buns were very chewy. Also extremely expensive for just 5 pork buns, I believe almost $9. - Salt pepper chicken were so giant that only the outside layer of the chicken had taste to it. The insides were tasteless. They also lack the crispiness. - Fried tofu were also so giant that they were tasteless in the inside. They also lack the crispiness.

Called them to ask what time they close for the day as I was driving from Langley. Lady who picked up the phone told me they close at 7:30 pm, so off we go and drove 1 hour to get there. at 6:45 pm we arrived only to be greeted by the same lady who picked up the phone and told us their dining room is closed! I told them we called ahead and was told they closed 7:30 pm. 'Oh, we close at 7:30 pm tomorrow.' I told them we drove for an hour as we came all the way from Langley. There were still customers in eating in their dining room but still did not show any effort to correct the issue.

We had a beef noodle soup with rice noodle, beef wrap and xiao long bao (steamed pork soup dumplings). The noodle soup was delicious and was not that salty as others reviewed so we were relieved. Xiao long bao was plain, nothing special. The beef wrap was also decent but there was not really anything too special about it. The staff were very friendly and quick. I recommend others to try the place!

My husband and I ordered the Champion Beef Shank with Flat Noodle in Soup for 15.95 each. I ordered through the website, but the restaurant never received the order. So, they prepared my order within 7 minutes. The portion size was smaller than we expected for the price we paid. The noodles and soup were in separate containers. Some of the beef shank pieces were a little tough. The 3 pieces of flank were delightfully not tough or chewy. The flat noodles were delicious, a little bite and chew to them. There was 1 bok choy stalk, which was good. The soup however was extremely salty! The soup tasted like watered down soy sauce. We had the noodle soup for lunch, we were so thirsty up to the next day. We won't be ordering from them again.

Best Taiwanese beef noodles in town. Noodle texture is so chewy and on point, beef is tender and the fire chili soup option is mind blowing if you can handle spice. The best by a far cry. The soup has a lot of depth and favours are just layered so well. It is slightly on the salty side, but I do enjoy my sodium

Pros: Pretty decent Taiwanese noodles. There was a nice selection of noodle and broth choices. The side dishes (xialongbao ๅฐ้พๅŒ…) and beef wrap were also quite homey. Taste was good and not as salty as some of the other reviewers have ntoed. The wait was not too long despite the lunch rush. Well done. Location is also nice inside Aberdeen mall with parking and washrooms. Cons: Only reason this is four stars and not five stars is some of the weird behaviour from the host/usher fellow. After having us sanitize and wrote down our contact info, he rushed to the table and waited for us impatiently there, even though my wife is pregnant and cannot walk that fast. When my wife and I sat down he gave us one cup of hot water and one cup of tea. When we sat down opposite of the seating arrangement he expected, he then switched the cups of tea and water around without any explanation, so we had to ask the next server for more tea. Also, I was speaking Cantonese to him the whole time but he kept speaking Mandarin and English in response, whereas I saw him speaking Cantonese with other guests, which was bewildering.
