About MCI The Doctor's Office 130th & Deerfoot
Due to the volume of test results coming to MCI clinics each day, normal results will not be reported to the patient. We will contact patients with abnormal results or for tests that require a follow-up visit to a clinic. Pregnancy test results will be reported in a phone call to the patient. If you wish to discuss test results with your doctor, please book a follow-up appointment for one to two weeks after the tests are done. MCI is pleased to provide our patients with medical laboratory services. Please note however that due to government license regulations, we can only process tests accompanied by a requisition from an MCI doctor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came In needing a doctors note, I had Covid for 2.5 weeks and my work has been unreasonable about it. Doctor came in and refused to put dates on the sick note because he “couldn’t verify it.” He encouraged that in the future I take photos of the test with date written on it.. good to know I could’ve just googled a photo of a test with that date on it, and apparently it would’ve meant more than my word. Lol..
Then he put on my note that I was “apparently” Ill from Covid. My boss is having an absolute field day with this and I’m likely going to be fired. I paid $35 for him to hand me a piece of paper that did absolutely nothing for my situation and In fact, made it much worse. “Thanks” avoid Ronald melenchuk… or this entire clinic altogether if you can..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last Wednesday I went as a walk in. It was my first time at that location. I wanted to keep my reason for seeing the doctor just between me and the doctor.
As soon as she came into the room I told her my reason for the visit, she opens the door and yells it as her assistant which is bringing a patient to his room, I felt it wasnt very professional.
She just sent me out of the room and that was it. I dont think I'll be going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in for a possibly broken ankle and got sent for X-ray and promised I’d get a call next day to get the results. Never did and then have been trying to call myself to get results and phones have been going straight to voicemail for multiple hours they have been open for the past two days. Likely now going to have to go to another clinic to get another X-ray done… which is frustrating because I already did it all two days ago and just need the results so I can figure out when I can return to work… would not recommend this clinic at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Refused to see my 5 year old daughter who was coughing badly because she “had a covid symptom”. Unreal. You can’t deny care because of a cough.. lots of illnesses have coughs and frankly, most people have caught Covid already.
Ended up going to South Health who saw her immediately and put her on several puffers. Cleared her up within a few hours.
I hope this place burns to the ground. Judging by all of the negative feedback and the “oh, we’re sorry” replies, this place blows.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely the worst. Completely inept from beginning To end. Name entered incorrectly on arrival. Also identified as male when I am obviously female. They weren’t busy when this happened. Doctor did not introduce himself. Sent me for ultrasound and X-ray. Did not call me with results. I was told they don’t call if they don’t find anything. I had the results sent to a specialist and there is a problem which the specialist will treat. The doctor knew I had pain. The doctors office offered nothing in the form of further treatment. Definitely find somewhere else if you want to be treated with any kind of courtesy and respect. They did not care that I can hardly walk and could not even bother to contact me. Ridiculous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I attended this clinic today with my two year old and 5 month old, my 2 year old has been sick with a fever cough vomiting and runny nose, conjunctivitis which started approx 2 weeks ago . I spoke to one receptionist who insisted I have a negative covid test or else he can’t be seen, I didn’t have this as he is 2 and getting an accurate test is pretty impossible ! The receptionist was rude and dismissive while I was struggling with my two kids!
The other receptionist ran out after me and offered an appointment for later in the day she was really nice and caring . The first receptionist clearly has no compassion, not every illness is covid and to turn away a toddler in pain is inhumane. I understand we are in a pandemic but there are other serious illnesses that need attention and no need to treat someone so ignorantly

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I genuinely do not know how this place is still open after the amount of horrible reviews. I came in to get my hand checked out after falling and I wasn’t sure if it was just sprained or badly bruised so I wanted to get it checked out. Doctor barely looked at my hand and referred me to get an X-ray. After getting my X-ray I received no call from the office until I called them and they told me to come in. I came in the next day to find out I had a fractured metacarpal! Doctor once again barely looked at my hand, gave zero to no information on how to go about it and told me I just needed to get a brace for my hand. He seemed like he just wanted to go home since it was close to closing hours..He couldn’t even remember the name of the place to get it and no prescription or referral for the type of brace. The people at the store said this happens all the time with these walk in doctors- absolutely outrageous. A week later my uncle in the medical field took one look at my hand and said I am in the completely wrong brace and to go to the hospital. Long story short the hospital casted me properly. AVOID this clinic at all costs..don’t seem to do proper prescriptions and proper care at all. I could have kept going in the state my hand was in and have it healed not properly. Absolute joke of a doctors office..just go spend your day in the ER or find a better clinic !!!

There wasn’t a long wait, lots of parking. The doctor was helpful & efficient & I’m grateful they we’re open on a Saturday afternoon.
