C	Carin Taylor on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel is a decent place to stay. The hotel and rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly. I found the bed to be lower to the ground than normal, and the mattress was not overly comfortable. The pillows however, were fantastic. The rooms have a bigger bar fridge than most hotels, which is great if you are staying
K	Kyle Bucknell on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel was actually not too bad. The breakfast was really good . Looks like the buffet is back and it was very convenient. A couple things that were not up to par was my toilet was broken throughout the stay. Also they offer chromecast but you had to pay for the upgraded wifi in order to use it. They ended up giving it to me for free but I feel it should be included. 25$ for parking is up there for sure but what can you do. I got a bill under my door for my stay each day ? and also I was getting bills for other guests underneath my door ? This might explain why my credit card was charged the wrong amount ? I’m still trying to figure that one out. The location of the hotel is great for downtown and it has many amenities near by. Overall 3 stars out of 5 but I’m not sure if this would be my first choice for my next stay.
M	Mel I on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely LOVED this hotel. Room was clean, quiet and bed was SO comfortable. Front desk guy working on Feb 14 and another on the morning of 15th were SO friendly and inviting. I highly recommend staying here, we will be back
S	Shana Stephens on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had our wedding here last weekend and it was a perfect experience. They were so easy to work with and did an amazing job of putting everything together. The prices were very reasonable for what we got. They went out of their way to make sure we felt special and taken care of. The rooms are lovely and the Onyx Suite is huge! It was perfect for the bachlorette. Our guests raved about the food and there was a ton of it on the buffet. I couldn't be happier with the experience. It was so easy for out of town guests and close to great photo spots.
S	Stephanie Biegel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Matrix was an amazing experience! Friendly staff that were so accommodating and helpful. We were in a beautiful suite, the fire place and view were enhanced by the high ceilings. The breakfast is wonderful and a great way to provide a meal during these crazy times. The only thing we weren’t fond of was the linens and robes, we found that they were not very soft, this was a small thing though. Overall it was a wonderful experience!

Nice bathroom with great water pressure and deep tubs. They provided Bath robes which was a very nice touch. Front desk staff was lovely and helpful. Breakfast was fine but coffee was ruined several times with curdled cream. Wait staff need to listen better, we asked for several things and outlined allergies but we're completely ignored. Maybe it was an off day. Other than those concerns it was fine, but not exceptional.
S	S. Mi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a nice hotel at a bargain. The fireplaces were lovely, warm wood in rooms felt cozy and we got a small upgrade because it was our anniversary. The staff were nice. The lobby was freezing (those poor staff), and the delicious breakfast was extremely rushed. When they said done at 10:30, they meant not a minute longer. At 10:25 we were warned and it was all put away immediately. I have never experienced quite that level of time crunch before, even in less luxurious accommodations. Also the level of cleanliness in the bathroom was just ok. The tilling is not in the best condition, making cleaning it tricky and the glass partition had been splashed with something (drips visible), that I hope was from cleaning and not the last guests. Overall good, with a little room for improvement.
G	Giny Smith on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very comfortable room. Not a 5* hotel but definitely one of the best in the price point. Clean and comfy is my best description. Excellent service from the staff. We had a few requests for service that took only minutes to be fulfilled. Restaurant is excellent as well. Included breakfast is very good. Not your usual bland food quality for included breakfast. Excellent coffee! Had dinner on our first night, salmon for me, butter chicken for hubby, also tried dumplings, wings and ceasar salad. Better than excellent meals! Definitely our new go to hotel for Edmonton!
