Room was good for the price, small details were not looked after, no in room menu or guide to local places or in hotel services (wifi). Put out tag for room to be cleaned, restock towels, coffee etc, never happened. Front desk took care of things when asked. Basically Covid service after restrictions were lifted. Hopefully just due to trouble hiring staff, I would stay here again.

This review is to show great appreciation for the amazing service and hospitality we had during our stay at Chateau Lacombe on May long weekend. Very special thanks to guest manager Donna for going above and beyond for our travel party and everyone involved in the Teejay Rags 2 RICHES Concert. Even though May long weekend was VERY hectic with all sorts of different activities happening in the city, Donna made sure everyone was comfortable and taken care of. I cant thank you enough. DEFINITELY will stay at Chateau Lacombe again!

Got a room one the 23rd floor, figured it would be nicer, same sized room but it was so hot I had to run the shower on cold to take cool off breaks. Phoned the front desk asking to be moved to any other room that may be cooler and they refused and only offered me a fan. Upon their response in offering me a fan I asked for a cot for my family member and I only received the fan. Very poor service for a higher end hotel…

Booked a large suite however 2 days before check-in I was contacted by the hotel to say that there was a heat issue with the room. I was down graded. I arrived at the hotel, and when I arrived, my down graded room was extremely hot. I was told by the front desk that there was a heating problem still. The front desk offered me a fan or bottled water to make up for the horrible heat.. Neither would solve the heat problem. I had to leave and find a new hotel. No apologies from the hotel.

Our stay was overall good. The service was amazing but the rooms are super outdated. The room was clean but there needs to be some serious Reno's. The mirror in the bathroom was rusting, there was tape on the legs of a dresser because it was chipped out, even the crib was like from the 1960's. But if it wasn't the service and cleanliness our stay could have been a little less comfy. The bed was dipping so I could not sleep on my first night. The couches were very very old. But definitely a 3 star rating for me.

The ambience of the hotel was very nice and there were plenty of things to see in the area, but like other reviews state, the rooms need to be updated greatly. Dents and scratches on the wall, no fan in the bathroom, light switch in the bathroom isn't screwed in the wall properly, baseboards on the walls are chipped. The worst part is having to sleep with the thermostat set to 16Β° because the room gets so incredibly hot at night. For how fancy of a hotel this is, you would imagine these things wouldn't be an issue.

The staff was an absolute delight! The rooms were nice with great views and the bed was extremely comfortable. We stayed for three days over Christmas and then again at New Years. A very huge shout out to May from housekeeping, Christine from concierge, Don the doorman and Donna the manager:) We will definitely stay here in the future thanks again.

Staff was friendly, ample parking. The walk to Roger's place isn't long. The view of the river valley is spectacular. Downfalls are that the rooms need upgrading, the decor is from 90s. The mini fridge appeared to have been tossed from a flight of stairs. The river view rooms are on the side of elevators and I was woken twice in the night due to noise from other guests. (230 am) The city view would be quieter. The breakfast buffet had almost no food left at 9am. Overall, it's a good price for the location.
