If you've stayed Fairmont before then you know it's a gem, but the Mac has a staff that goes above and beyond - in all aspects. Friendly and extremely helpful, go the extra mile to make you comfortable. The food is exceptional, nothing not worth ordering is on the menu. We do a family Christmas day brunch in the Harvest Room whenever we visit. Ms. Young is our favorite of the service staff - not just because we share a last name, but because she can tolerate the dozen of us together. Even if you only get to spend a night, you'll not regret the choice to spend it at this hotel.

Our concierge on the gold floor went above and beyond of what we had expected. We can't recommend the Hotel Macdonald enough, even if you're from right here at home!

Booked a night for my birthday with my husband and went out for a nice dinner. 3am rolled around and the people next door just got in from the bar and were hysterical for like 45 minutes. Had to call down to the front desk 3 times to get them to shut up. I would definitely not stay here again.

We ordered the AAA Alberta Beef Tenderloin & the Duck Breast (didn’t get pics, cause we just dove right in and ate). It was that good. The drinks are a little on the expensive side. Lol. Everything else was reasonably priced. They brought out fresh baked bread. For dessert, we ordered the Chocolate Cake. So delicious. They even brought out a little extra tray of desserts for us. Couldn’t have been better. Great quality and experience! ❤️
A	Abigail Collins on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came for the holiday lunch, the decor was great, the buffet was covered and everyone had to wear gloves to serve up. Some members of my party were gluten sensitive, and I was happy to see a chef come and walk us through what was gluten-free and what wasn't. They also brought special gluten-free dessert and gravy to the table upon request. The only downside was that we were sat under a radiant heater so it was extremely hot, also although the food was very good, but not for the shallow pockets, this buffet will set you back, but if you're very hungry it's worth it. Anyways, 4/5 would definitely go again if I was looking for a special family meal, just be sure to come hungry.

They didn’t have any space available for our price range but after explaining our situation, the staff was quick to give us a suit for the price of a normal room. The food was excellent and we all had a great time. I would recommend staying.
S	Shelley Bradford on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel rooms we had opportunity to stay in and be entertained in on the upper floors were superbly fresh, clean, generously supplied and comfortable. Food glorious food! Main courses were completely delectable as in the Arctic Char and Braised Ribs, a fun charcourterie board and crepe cake to name a few that were delightful. The staff was always helpful and very friendly. I do not like that staff is made to wear masks and I feel that is a little overboard at this time. I would prefer to see their smiling faces as they saw mine.
