Sarah is CEO of Canada’s largest specialty toy and kids book store. She leads 68 stores coast to coast and online with 3,000 employees including our stores, head office and warehouse – bringing to life our authority on play, and creating a world class employee and customer experience.
Sarah is a passionate, energetic leader with a track record of delivering results while leading transformational change at organizations. Previously she was the Senior Vice President, Customer Experience and Omni Channel Strategy at Scotia Bank where she led the bank from #5 to #1 in customer experience ratings. She spent a decade with The Boston Consulting Group, where she advised Fortune 500 companies on large scale customer centric transformations and cultural change. Prior to joining BCG, Sarah worked with Accenture in Finland, Brazil and the United States. Sarah holds both an MBA and an Engineering degree from Queen’s University. She is a lecturer at the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University in the MBA program.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff at this store are exceptional.
Upon our arrival there was a man in the parking lot who appeared to be ill. We reported to staff inside and they went above and beyond to make sure this man was safe and taken care of.
We were shopping for our son’s birthday and picked out some Lego - the store manager took time out to talk to us about some new features Lego is developing. We will definitely be returning to this Mastermind Toys location!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Item pick up was at the same location as the gift wrapping. So what I was hoping would be a quick in and out ended up taking a bit of time waiting for gifts to get wrapped. I’d suggest at busy times like Xmas maybe have two separate stations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t have much experience with children’s toy stores, however this one seemed to be well stocked. We came Labour Day weekend and there were a number of deals as well as a giant stuffed elephant display which was pretty cool. We also got our gifts wrapped for free so that was an added bonus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff are always helpful in guiding me to the "right" educational gifts for my Grandsons. During the past 2 years of CoVid, visits and contact have been strained, so I went by age and staff guidance - apparently they enjoyed the gifts greatly?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Holy moly toys and books and more toys. Educational items, Arts and Crafts, Outside athletic, LEGO..... lots of sets. Play Mobile, Games games and games. Tons of Hairy Potter, Paw Patrol, Battle bots, Bey Blades and what not. Lots of great kids books. Lots of facts and adventures books. Be prepared to spend some time in here as there is so much to look at. Prices are reasonable, locating prices on some products is tricky as the price stickers are small. The staff is helpful starting with a greeter to point you in the right direction if you know what you want. Check them out for all your Christmas and birthday shopping. Good luck?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of good educational toys for kids of all ages, staff are very friendly and helpful. Prices are a bit higher than places like Walmart but it's a good place to find specialty items not found at your regular big box store.
