Trying to submit a claim was a hot mess. nowhere on the site to submit a supporting document, and my claim was denied because I did not attach a supporting document. Call their 1800 number, and press a bunch of buttons, only to be redirected to online, and have the call disconnected. If I was somebody in financial distress, trying to make a medical claim for reimbursement, this company would put me in serious mental and financial anguish.

filed a claim for a critical piece of medical equipment I'm covered for. Claim was denied because the prescription did not state what the CPAP mask was for. Well what else could it be for? Attaching beer cans to it and drink out of it?

They do not care about people, they do not care about people with disabilities, moreso people with mental health problem. They have no idea how do deal with people with mental health diagnoses and they have contributed to people taking their life by way of suicide.

I was trying to get a fund fact and a fund code. After two hours and 8 different customer service ppl. I was hung up on. I had the same horrible experience when I did an RRSP to RRSP transfer. Manulife provides poor service for mediocre returns. For an organization that gave them 8-10 million in business last year, we deserve better service and returns.

A complete nightmare to deal with this insurance company. I would not recommend it to anyone. Did not pay up all the legitimate claims, that my parents submitted. Try to reach the company for 3 months waiting for 5-6 hours at the time without reaching them.

**Updates: So I waited for 61 mins today and finally got through to a CSR. She was nice and helpful, submitted appeals to my issues. Just wish I didn't need to wait for so long on the line next time!** Very frustrating with Manulife! Terrible experience - Poor Customer Service! I've been trying to get through Customer Service phone line 6 days in a roll, every time I was put on hold for over an hour till I eventually drop the calls. I've emailed them about my claims as there was such option on their website, but NO, the auto response email just prompt me to call them! - Estimate says I'm 100% covered for a dentist procedure, so I went ahead with it. but after I submitted my claim, they only paid $200 out of $1400 of my claim!

Manulife does not keep records of funds sent to providers. If they do not pay you, you must go through client by client and compare each individual claim submitted vs each individual claim paid by the separate daily email. Now imagine doing this because your yearly numbers are out and you need to find where.... I cannot even begin to comprehend the lack of judgement and lack of competence with the C level execs at Manulife for this to pass. For such a large business handling large sums of money, you would expect a certain level of professionalism... Not here.
