However, if you are looking for spare parts, look elsewhere, they will not sell it to you based on parts shortage. I get it, but it pains me to have to support a 'big name' soulless online bike shop for just a couple of rotor lock rings that I could have gotten down the street. I hope this is not a trend and the end of the LBS...
A	Anderson C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible repair experience recently. BE AWARE of those recommended services. I went to true a rear wheel of my 2 years old bike, got estimated with the reasonable price by a "PROFESSIONAL" mechanic. They called few hours after I dropped my bike there, suggesting recommended extra repairs like cable housing, brake pad replacement for $100+, I declined because I am able to do this myself. They called me again the next day, saying my wheel has been trued but it's not "PERFECT", they recommended me to build a new wheel for $270. I did not take it too, my bike is only $300 new. It shocked me after I checked the repair, the wheel was still wobbling, brake pad stuck. I did not expect it's PERFECT, but unfortunately it's NOT rideable. Other bike shop usually won't charge if they can't repair, but NOT here. I would not recommend this store. BE AWARE, ask what if they are not able to repair before the service. P.S. Our Community Bikes eventually repaired my wheel with reasonable charge. So my wheel is repairable rather than building a new. Unfortunately, I wasted my time and money at Mactalla Cycles.

When I started bike commuting in fall 2021, I decided to give the conveniently located Mactalla another chance, not knowing that it had since changed hands. What a difference! I have now had multiple excellent experiences here with both sales and service. Everyone I’ve encountered is friendly, helpful, warm and communicative. I’m so glad I can stick with them as my local bike shop!
L	Lewis Tucker on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have a Trek 640 in storage for over 25 years. My son was going to purchase a cheap Walmart/Canadian tire bike (which are built to fall apart in my opinion). Told him I would see how much for them to fix and replace old parts. They did a great job and my son loves the old school ride. I would recommend this place as the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks guys great work...
W	Will Phung on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mactalla did high quality job with my bikes tune up and repairs. They were able to complete the work much quicker than I expected being a busy time of year. I would however think that if a customer were paying for a tuneup package, labour charges for part replacements should not be billed if the item did not incur additional work for the mechanic. An example of this is the $200 tune package includes chain removal and clean although I was still charged additional labour for a chain replacement. I would likely go back for individual repairs as needed as their workmanship as great.

They are my go to place for any bike repairs and they always do a fantastic job, give me great advice and have taught me a few things to help me maintain my bike. Today the wheel on my shopping trolley broke and they fixed it for me right there and then, so I was able to get home with all my heavy groceries. What a wonderful local business! Thank you so much for being a great part of this community, I feel lucky that I live so near this shop. <3

I have complete confidence in this business, excellent, courteous, above and beyond the call of duty! Thank you everyone, for starting me off right ?

It looked like a cool shop and the guys were nice and it looked like the team would be knowledgeable. I came at approximately 2pm on a Saturday ride through the city. My rear derailleur cable had snapped and I was stuck in the hardest gear. I asked if they could fix it and the guy couldn't get past his usual script. ” We usually take a few days to look over your bike and then phone with a quote and list of required repairs. ” I told him I'm stuck in the middle of a ride and need a repair now. He gave me the same line again. Left me hanging . I walked and rolled down to a Commercial Drive bike shop and they took it in right away and 20m later I was on my way. In my opinion, if a client comes in with an urgent issue that's an easy fix you should try a little harder to help them out. It's hard for me to recommend after this.
