Lowes has great products for selection, but their online system really needs to be updated. 4 times I have ordered online and it says the items are in stock, but then the order gets cancelled because they are not in stock. Even when the order was cancelled, the website still shows they are in stock at that location. I went to the south location Lowes for one of the items, and online it says none in stock, but there was a lot of that item! They have a disclaimer saying that the website numbers may not match in-store stock, but compared to Home Depot's online system (accurate stocks, tells you exactly where the item can be found), Lowes has not been keeping up to date with their technology. Good for in-person shopping, but a waste of time for online ordering.

Middle of the afternoon and not one (regular) till open. Only the self check-out. Not everyone, myself included, wants to use the self check-out. There were several employees standing around talking, though. The cashier I did deal with at customer service ended up giving me the wrong change, which I only realized after I returned to my car. Not a great experience at this location. Edit April 30 2019 The wood selection is getting worse, warped and twisted. If you can even get to it with all the carts in the way.

Very disappointed with the way the customer service person at the Customer Service Counter attended to my request. I have noticed the customer service experience drop significantly, not only that but the inventory is always a mess and misleading. Sorry to say but I was at the South location and also visited the Kitchener Location on Ottawa Street and what a difference in the service.

Big box store, lots of hardware items reasonably priced, and no staff. Better than Rona not as good as home depot.

Even if they say β€œrefund”, you should wait until they actually give you a refund. I talked to managers three times, they all lied to me, it took more than 2 weeks….

NEVER LIE TO THE CUSTOMER…Shame on you for being dishonest!! Terry at Lowes called to inform me of a John Deere S130 lawn tractor available for sale (this was a model I wanted to purchase when I attended the store a few days earlier). He advised me that this S130 had an oil drip pan leak however it was repaired at a local authorized John Deere dealer. He added that it was brand new, had 0 hours, had fully warranty and his manager discounted the unit $300 from list price. With that information I drove over one hour to the London North Lowes Store to see the S130 and to meet Terry and his manager Mark (who was able to discount the S130 another $99) When I arrived I discovered that the S130 was USED!! It was NOT brand new as disclosed and was PREVIOUSLY SOLD and RETURNED by a customer who experienced an oil leak upon start up. It in fact had 1.5 hours on the hour meter (not zero) and grass residue was found underneath the cutting deck. I left the store and personally visited the local authorized dealer who made the repair. They disclosed that an O Ring leak was the issue. The authorized dealer reported that when the lawn tractor was brought in the oil level was VERY LOW. He cautioned about purchasing this unit and stated β€œdrive on” which I interpreted as pass on this purchase. He added that damage to the engine running with such low oil capacity (even for 1.5 hrs) would result in major engine damage (which explained why the unit exhaust puffed out blue smoke every time it was started at the Lowes store). Terry and the PDI Technician Ryan said the blue smoke was normal for John Deere lawn mowers and it was nothing to worry about!! To think I almost purchased this John Deere S130 Lawn Tractor on the trust of a store manager, experienced sales representative and PDI technician. So glad I did my due diligence. I’m sure the John Deere Company would not approve of this sales experience!! UPDATE: John Deere Corporate has been notified and has launched an investigation regarding breach of conditions by authorized selling dealers. UPDATE 2: London North Lowes ASM Mike called to apologize. He offered $100 off a gazebo we purchased a few days earlier however we cancelled the order and never took delivery. I informed Mike that I also contacted John Deere Corporate who stated they would investigate a breach of conditions by authorized selling dealers and the call then became short. I sensed Mike wanted to end the conversation. I asked for his assistance in securing a John Deere S130 riding lawn mower and he suggested I call him in December!!

Great store! Staff is exceptional! Very helpful and very clean! My grandson loves this place. Staff is always happy to ride the forklifts so he can watch them.

Two employees were exceptionally rude among other issues. After an already frustrating shopping experience, I was ready to checkout but wanted to have the 10 foot piece of PVC conduit cut in half so that it would be easier to transport. The store was not busy at all as it was a Thursday morning, so I asked an employee from the Hardware desk if he could cut it for me. He said "No." He didn't offer any alternatives or explanation. I even explained that I was just about to checkout (10 steps away). I guess I will try to bend it in half in the parking lot... After that, I headed to check out. There was only self checkout available and I was the only one that was checking out. No greeting or help was offered from the employee that was at the computer and it seemed like a hassle for her to ring in the one special item that I had without a barcode. After she did, I continued scanning my items and one of them was not in the system. I explain to her that it's not scanning, so she tries and it still doesn't work. Without saying a single word this whole time, she leaves. After waiting at least 3 minutes for a $2.40 item, the hardware employee comes up behind me and tries to get my attention by saying, "You!" I didn't look back after the first time and he said it again, "You!". I looked back to see his face and I left the store without completing the transaction - afterall the cashier was gone and I was now rattled by someone addressing me as such. I went to Home Depot to get everything all over again, but I'd rather spend my money at a place where to employees are actually helpful and pleasant.
