★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called at 8:00 pm for a key that broke in the lock. The tech called back and said he couldn't help me. He said he could never get the parts and then said "This is the emergency line my dear. It would cost you over $1000!"

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wish I had read the reviews on this company prior to having them do work for me. I had two man doors that required adjustments. The young man who came was very polite and professional but the charge for the job was $496……..simply unbelievable. I’ve hired numerous contractors over the years to do similar sized jobs and had expected the cost would be about $200. I would never again use Lock Surgeon to do work for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They sold our information to a 3rd party firm, we now receive unwanted mail all the time. When I called to ask to be removed, she told me it wasn't her problem and hung up. Better options exist.

I'm all good with the service charge, need to pay a guy for his time to come have a look and give an estimate but I though $800 to change a thumb lock and re-key two other locks was pretty expensive. Had him replaced the thumb lock because that was necessary and that cost $300. The final kick and what caused me to write this review was when I went to go home for the day and lock up the lock he replaced was a different size and was hitting on the door frame. Obviously he didn't test the lock with the door closed or he would have realized that. So I had to grind away part of the door frame in order to lock up and go home. The guy was super nice but just found it very expensive and pretty poor quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a rip-off! I had Lock Surgeon to my home to remove and dispose of a storm door. After the arbitrary fee of $89 to just show up, I was charged an additional $200 (!) to do a 5 minute job. A few days later I hired someone else to install a new storm door and he told me he would have removed my old door for no charge. I feel like a fool because I had not read all the other reviews, most of which mention exorbitant pricing. Buyer beware!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a media source take information so i hope it turns into a story as people are being ripped off. I own a property management company and our newest employee didnt call our regular locksmith. A bill for $375 to replace a condo building mailbox that was done in under 6 minutes as per the security cameras (media has this as well).
$89 for service call... fair enough, need to operate a business
$49.71 for a mailbox lock that is $6 .. I get an upcharge but 8x is a slap in the customers face. I guess a regular deadbolt must run $500?
$195 for road service... whatever this is
$24 shop supplies? this is 7x what an oil change shop charges to work on a car ...not a mailbox

We are so impressed with how quickly they came out to fix our door and their ability to fix the lock that day. They were friendly and helpful on the phone and in our home. I highly recommend the Lock Surgeon!
