S	S U on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Come for the Raman not the ambiance. Googled a place to grab a quick lunch while running errands. My hubby and I both had the spicy miso ramen. Broth was very flavorful. Tasty char sue. Was a bit nervous to try as this is inside a billiards hall but the food was fantastic. The chef is lovely and super humble. Hope to be back after lockdown if they are still open.
K	Kevin Won on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing tsukemen (dipping ramen) and lobster ramen, hard to find but this one is comparable to Japan.. No MSG in the broth, great flavour, nice piece of pork belly.. All ingredients were fresh. They moved inside Mike's due to COVID, but it doesn't take away from the food quality at all. The head chef was very friendly and passionate about the food quality so definitely drop by for a bowl!
R	Reb on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been some ramen place in calgary and this place is on top3 to me. The service is really good and can taste katsuobushi base witch is different than other restaurants. Good price too. But I just hope they care about food decoration as much as taste too.
P	Pikku Chu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gagana Ramen is a Ramen speciality restaurant. They mainly serve Ramen dishes, but they also serve a few rice dishes. Gagana is now located in the same building and location as Mike's billard. This location slightly diminishes the atmosphere. The ramen comes in a large bowl allowing for little to no splash. Which minimizes the mess when eating. They provide a decent amount of noodles. Slightly different than other ramen restaurants in Calgary. Gagana has cabbage as their vegetable topping in their ramen. Giving it a slight crunch when eating. This allows for a refreshing texture when slurping down noodles and soup. Their noodles are well-cooked. Not too rough nor too soft. The noodles are paired with a thick and rich broth. This combination is fantastic as the flavor of the soup covers the thick noodles. Allowing for the noodles to absorb the flavor of the broth. Their broth itself is quite tasty. It isn't something to brag about, but definetly above average in comparison to other restaurants. However, be aware that some of the broths may not be for everyone, in terms of flavor. Their chasu (pork/meat) is great. The meat isn't dry allowing for the fatty part of the meat to melt in your mouth. Providing a delicious meat to the noodles and soup. The price of Gagana is average for a ramen restaurant. They seem to be around the same price range as other ramen restaurants in Calgary. Overall, Gagana provides a delicious bowl of ramen. Great for cold and chilly days. However, they do not bring anything new to the ramen scene. Gagana doesn't do anything bad in their ramen, but do no excel in any areas.
A	Ann M on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really like their noodles! The broth was flavourful as well. Weird set up as it’s inside a pool hall but owner was friendly and tables were set up far enough apart. It does smell like stale cigarettes inside though so next time I might opt for take out instead.
A	A A on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately didn't have a chance to properly try my takeout order, because the hot broth straight up melted the cap of its container and the entirety of it ended up spilling out. The owner was friendly but please use a better container for this kind of thing.

I had the spicy miso and my gf had the number 1 I think but wow they were good. Firm noodles, tasty broth and perfectly tender pork. The gentleman who was here was very friendly and even told us about the history of his profession which was interesting to learn. Overall just because it’s in a Billiard doesn’t mean you won’t leave feeling satisfied 10/10

The noodles are so fresh and chewy, and the broth is incredibly flavorful. As with all the other commentators, we were also so impressed by the service. Highly, highly recommend.
