In general, the "Lincolnberg Master Builder" is a very good company to choose from. It was the first time we had an experience to hire the company to build the house for us, and we didn't regret about it. The digest concern for us was the quality of insulation material (soundproof) in the walls. We had been living in our property since 2014 and never had any noise issues coming from our neighbors side ( they have 2 kids though). Every representative we dealt with, from start to finish, made us feel as though they really cared about us. I was able to visit my duplex at many different stages, while it was under construction, which made me confident in the quality of job and materials. The communication was perfect, we had our questions answered in timely manner. I would recommend LINCOLNBERG company to every one.

Lincolnberg Master Builder r too busy to sell the property without even giving the current real property compliance report. To buyers making sure u get your current property compliance report before u buy. Worst builder ever!! Cheap quality. Once your warranty is over u will see things falling apart. Very disappointed ? I can see my hard earned money going down the drain. ***************** Reply to your response... If I had a real estate agent Working with me while buying your home n we had a condition to get a current RPR you would have gotten it updated and given to us, no questions asked. Just because, we bought directly from you, you gave us a very generic un-updated RPR which is of no use to me if I choose to sell the property. Still 0 Stars to your company!!!!!

I built my first home with Lincolnberg 3 years ago and my wife and I are still in love with it. The Lincolnberg team built me a high quality, energy efficient home that I hope to live in for years to come. We still constantly receive compliments on the quality of finishings and craftsmanship. I would, without a doubt, recommend Lincolnberg homes to my family and friends.

I purchased a Lincolnberg built home and recently I discovered an issue with my shingling so I contacted Linconlberg regarding this issue. Initially I did face some hurdles on this which is partially because my home is now 12 years old, however I was eventually able to connect with the builder and discuss these concerns. To their credit Keith at Lincolnberg reviewed, inspected, and coordinated the repairs to resolve an issue discovered that existed from the original installation. Update: Keith got in touch with the company they had contracted the original work to and made the arrangements to get the installation re-done to correct the issues which the contractor subsequently returned for and completed a top quality repair job. I would like to express my appreciation to the professionalism at Lincolnberg that they were willing to follow up with my concerns by providing the inspection service after it was deemed appropriate to look further into and then covering the repair work that the inspector identified to be an issue.

Being in our house for over 6 years now, we know a thing or two of our house, and how it holds up with a family of 5, and all I can say is we love it! Our experience from the beginning was great, from talking with Kim in design, to doing the house walk through with the site super, to adding finishing touches after we moved in. Our house was built in a timely manner, and everything like the framing of the house to the drywall and painting was done very well. We have a beautiful house that I can't wait to continue living in for another 6 years (and more!) as our family grows and gets older. Thank you Lincolnberg for a great experience and lovely house!

I can't express how Lincolnberg has been the most amazing company we've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. When we needed a wheelchair accessible home, we told them what we needed, the kinds of things we were looking for... and they were able to accommodate our requests 100% without issue. They showed us a similar model home in our price range and from there we were hooked. Remove a wall? add a bathroom? put a window here or there? not a problem! Move the kitchen island to accomodate a wheelchair? how far? Bigger? Smaller? We asked them to rough in plumbing for a shower on the main floor all they said was "Sure! where do you want it?" and it was done. Can we take out this mudroom and closet here? "You sure can!" Many of the changes we made didn't cost anything additional (Unless it was a substantial change like adding electrical circuits) and in fact, lots of the changes we made reduced the cost of the build. Even the things that did cost where very reasonable They let us view the progress as it was being built. We went through all the changes we made and made sure they were made. Anything that needed fixing or to be changed was promptly changed. As we neared completion we went through the house several more times....picking apart any tiny little thing that could possibly be fixed so it was perfect to OUR standards. When the time came time for possession, they asked if we had someone lined up to finish the roughed in shower we had requested. At the time we did not, and we were just going to wait until after we got moved to sort that out. Mr. Jansen, the president of Lincolnberg homes, would have none of that... and had someone immediately go over and finish that bathroom shower for us. He even said to not even worry about the cost, he'd have it covered. They saved us time and money and the hassle of having to get someone to do it. Once it came time to move in, we ran into another issue. Our planned entrance that our wheelchair user would have to use until we completed our backyard landscaping (in the springtime since it was now winter) was not wheelchair accessible. We had planned to figure out something to use temporarily, but When Mr. Jansen got wind of this... He would have none of that either! He met with us to talk about it, then had someone immediately go over to the house and build us a temporary ramp to the front door to make it wheelchair accessible. Again he told us to not worry about who would do it or the cost involved, he'd take care of it. He said that he genuinely wanted us to move in, and not have to worry about anything but enjoying our new home. And on that... They most certainly delivered. 11/10 - would recommend to anyone considering a new home, or one needing custom changes like someone in a wheelchair.

We have had an awful, awful experience dealing with Lincolnberg Homes. My fiancΓ© and I purchased a home is only 5 years old and we have an extreme mold problem in the basement. This is due to the Insulation and Vapor Barrier in our basement being installed incorrectly when it was built. We opened a case with the New Home Warranty program who immediately denied our case without sending anyone to do an assessment. After finally getting a call back we escalated our issue to the complaints officer who directed us to the Lincolnberg Service Manager. After weeks of messaging back and forth, we finally convinced them to come to our house and address the issue. The Service Manager came to our home and admitted that the mold is an issue and obviously did not happen overnight. He inspected the Insulation and Vapor Barrier and informed me that the problem we are facing is due to frost forming in the upper rim joist and on warmer days it is melting down causing moisture behind the insulation. The Vapor Barrier was not installed with tacking or acoustical seal; meaning the red tape used to hold the vapor barrier up was not properly sealed. This is where the air was getting into the area and causing mold to form from all the previously mentioned moisture. The service manager continued to inform us that five years ago, tacking and acoustical seal was not required to "meet code" on new builds, and therefore they will not take responsibility for that... even though that's a defect that is the root cause of the massive mold issue we are having. It is obviously that the mold has been growing and forming since the house was built, and the moisture is so extreme it has now caused parts of our upper rim joist to totally rot out and require replacement. The service manager asked why out home inspector was unable to locate this issue before the house was purchased. We shared that this is a latent defect (a fault in the property that could not have been discovered by a reasonably thorough inspection before the sale) as it was hidden behind the homes insulation and vapour barrier. The inspector does not have the authority or permission from the previous owners to rip down the vapor barrier and search for mold (so severe that is is growing mushrooms) or rotted wood in those hidden spots. Finally, the service manager put an unreasonable amount of blame on the previous owners for 'Using too much moisture in their cooking.' This is where, for obvious reasons, we truly started questioning some of the things that they were telling us. For a 5 year old home, β€œcooking too many soups” (if they even did that?) should definitely not lead to this severe of an issue so quickly if it was insulated and built correctly. Lincolnberg refused to take ownership of the problem and has consistently tried passing blame on to others. We have have never experienced such unprofessional service from a such a known and reputable company. We are now facing a $3800 repair bill for mold remediation alone, and that bill will grow with having to replace the frighteningly rotted wood, spray foam insulation on the upper rim joist, and re-install insulation and vapor barrier. Lincolnberg is a well known name in this industry. If this is the standard they hold their newer builds up to, there needs to be some major re-consideration on how the city approves their new homes.

We have had an absolutely terrible experience dealing with Lincolnberg Homes so far. My home is only 5 years old and already has a huge mold problem in the basement. This is due to the Insulation and Vapor Barrier in our basement being installed incorrectly when they built it. We opened a case with the New Home Warranty program who immediately denied our case. We escalated our issue to the complaints officer who directed us to the Lincolnberg Service Manager. After weeks of emailing back and forth, we were finally able to convince them to come to our house to check out the problem firsthand. The Service Manager came to our home and looked at the issue. They admitted that the mold is an issue and clearly not something that happened overnight. He then went on to inform me that five years ago, tacking and acoustical seal was not required to "meet code" on new builds, so they will not take responsibility for that... even though that's a defect that is the root cause of the issue. The mold has clearly been forming since the house was built, and the moisture is so bad it has now caused parts of our upper rim joist to rot out. He then asked why my home inspector was unable to locate this problem before we purchased the house. I explained that this is a latent defect (a fault in the property that could not have been discovered by a reasonably thorough inspection before the sale) since it was hidden behind our vapor barrier and insulation. He doesn't have the authority to rip down the vapor barrier to search for mold/rotted wood in hidden spots. Thirdly, he put most of the blame on the previous owners for 'Using too much moisture in their cooking.' This is where I really started to question some of the things that they were telling me. For such a new home, cooking too many soups (if they even did) shouldn't lead to this big of a problem so soon. The one thing that they did fix was the vent above our stovetop. The Service Manager noticed while here that it was not venting outside. It was sealed shut. They covered the cost of the repair immediately because it was THEM that installed it wrong. To blame moisture levels on previous owners when the moisture was caused by the stovetop not ventilating properly is pretty unacceptable. As per their Service Manager; having a properly vented stovetop would have had a huge effect on mitigating moisture levels in our home. Lincolnberg refused to take ownership of the problem, even though they found the root cause of the issue while here, and is constantly passing blame to others. I have never experienced such unprofessional service from a company that prides itself on it. We are now facing a $3800 repair bill for mold remediation alone, and that bill will grow with having to replace the rotted wood, spray foam insulation on the upper rim joist, and re-install insulation and vapor barrier. I fear that since 6 houses on my block were built by the same company at the exact same time, this issue is something that will affect more than just my family. Lincolnberg is a big player in the industry and if this is the standard they hold their newer builds up to, there needs to be some major re-consideration on how the city approves their new homes.
