Homes By Avi - Edmonton

We bought our first single home through "Homes by Avi". Throughout the whole process we received good professional attitude and response from them. I love all the different materials that were available for choosing our home style, and and even their first tier basic materials for things like backsplash, flooring, etc. were top notch! We had appointments to visit our house even before we moved in to check how the building was going and the team was helpful in explaining everything to us. Overall we are quite happy with our whole home buying experience.

This is our 5th year in our home and we absolutely LOVE it. From the design and building process, to the after moving servicing, Homes by Avi has an absolutely exceptional service. Ashley Robinson our sales representative was very professional and always available. We have referred many friends and will always do. Our home is top quality and never had any issues with it. We will always buy again with Homes by Avi should we decide to move in the future.

We started our first new home build in the Orchards neighbourhood in Edmonton in Sept 2020 and took possession in June 2021. The good: Nancy and Carrie at the sales center are friendly, helpful and responsive. Able to customize many aspects of our build (more than I thought we’d be able to in a large scale builder). Able to make appointments to view our house during the build process. Clayton is a great site supervisor and kept everything on track. Few deficiencies when we took possession and they were fixed within a couple days. Aftercare program has been great - easy to contact Nicole and describe the deficiency and she has someone come out quite quickly to fix the issue. Our main issue was a strip of vinyl siding that popped out and had to be put back into place. So many options to choose from at the Selections Center. They were able to get all the stock in that we selected and we didn’t have to change any of our choices. Suggestions: It would be helpful to have a list of “most common upgrades” that people make to their house in case there’s something you wouldn’t normally think of but would want in your house (such a drain in the garage). The frustrations: Honestly my only frustration was with the Seasonal department (driveway pouring, landscaping). Their responses by email were unhelpful and very short when looking for even the most general timeline on when things might be completed. I am happy with the seasonal work once it was finally completed. In summary, we’ve been in our house for 10 months now and we love it! We are happy that we chose Homes by Avi to be our home builder and we’d build with them again.

Much due review… but at the right time when we are close to celebrating one year of possession of our home. The whole process from planning to construction was a breeze!Nancy made this whole journey an absolutely awesome experience with her exceptional customer service and knowledge. She helped us customize our home in all the possible ways that worked for us.We never felt forced or pressured into making decisions, but were encouraged to make decisions about our home that we would enjoy.Any small issues that we ran into after possession were attended to in a very timely and professional manner. We would highly recommend Homes by Avi if you are looking to build your dream house!

We can't speak highly enough of our experience with Homes by Avi. We are fortunate in getting connected with Nancy and her team from The Orchards. Her team went above and beyond to ensure that the transaction for buying our first home in Edmonton is as smooth as possible since everything has to be done via email and zoom. They were all very responsive to our needs and was always available when we needed to be. Not to forget Kelly from the design team, she was amazing. She helped us through the process and made the whole selection process smooth and fun. We’ve dealt with other builders before but Homes by Avi is by far the most organized and amazing builder. We highly recommend it to anyone!

This is our 3rd home built by Homes by Avi. Since we had positive previous experiences, we decided to go with them to build our forever home. Ashley Robinson, our sales manager, went above and beyond for us and was attentive to our specifications and requests. We customized our floor plan and interior finishes. Our home is beautiful, well built, and we love it! We highly recommend Homes by Avi.

Homes by AVI is by far the best buildery wife and I have ever worked with. We built our second home with homes by AVI and they were nothing short from professional and kind They ensured we were up to date with every specific detail about our home. They weren't pushy either like other builders. I can say that from our past experience with another builder, homes by AVI went above and beyond for us . I would highly recommend homes by AVI to be your next preferred builder. They have so many options and new locations available with good incentives and pricing . As I shared previously, the sales team was great. We had a few hiccups when finalizing floor plans and selections. Some things were changed last minute. This left me feeling less than satisfied at the time, but I tried to be understanding as shipping and work were delayed due to covid. Our shower that we planned specifically was completely changed only a few weeks before our possession and was installed the day we took possession. Therefore things were not as clean as they should have been. There were prints and marks on all the glass and mirrors and dust in all the closets from the installation. The shower was changed from frameless to black (and we were told to get chrome- which did not go with our desired look) the reason was that the builder would not pay the difference for the frameless shower with the new supplier. I feel this would have been feasible from a large busy company like Homes by Avi. Having said this though, the black looks great and we like our master shower and they did wave the cost of going from chrome to black. Clayton was great and even did some cleaning on possession day! Nancy brought us a beautiful gift basket with things to help us ease into our new home and feel welcome. Our 3-month service visit went very well. Jose is great and had come to the house a few times during the winter months to adjust doors and fix any issues we had in the first month or 2. Now we have been in our home for 6 months and we are happy. Most things are doing well, even amid the continual construction in the area and the ground settling now that it is spring. One thing I am not completely happy with is that our included landscaping was put in at the end of October which, in my opinion, is too late in the year. My grass is having a hard time and my bushes- which I was not told how to care for are very dry. My tree is in full bloom which is lovely. Since the house on my one side is not finished I have grass that is sloping, full or debris, and sinking in spots due to settling and the construction...I am sure this will be rectified.
