I write this review having been a Lextronics customer for over 20 years. This is the BEST electronic music gear shop, quite probably in all of western Canada, and one of the very last good ones left. I own a veritable selection of rare, delicate vintage gear and for 20 years Lextronics has serviced (and continues to help and service) them impeccably and accurately, performing even custom modifications and upgrades. I read the negative reviews and simply cannot believe those outcomes. This shop is HIGHLY recommended if you have unique and valuable gear in need of service!

Left my stereo receiver with them. Was unimpressed already when told it would take two months for the repair. I called four months later to see the progress and they had not even touched it. They called me the next day and I had requested to order the part and I would repair it myself. All I got was a smug response saying today will cost me 80 for them taking a glance at it. I recommend never sending your customers here again let alone for personal repairs. Not to mention they charge you 42 dollars to leave your equipment there and it doesn't even garuntee their word. If you can't do the work in the time frame you give, don't bother giving one, and when a costumer is displeased with your piss poor business don't try and get more money out of them. It looks very petty.

Alex is awesome at what he does and I would not take my speakers or any other electronic components anywhere else but him.

I took in an 1176 clone, dual channel preamp, and headphone monitoring system to get fixed. After 2 months, I got a call that two of the pieces of gear were fixed and that he'd need more time with the headphone system. After testing the equipment out, each piece remained unfixed with the exact same problems as before taking them in... over $300 paid for nothing. He was either dishonest or had no idea he did nothing to fix the problems. After 5 minutes of being on, the preamp he said he fixed wouldn't pass any signal (the original problem)... pretty hard to miss that blatant of a problem. I waited and waited for the 3rd piece of gear to get fixed. Finally after 3 months I called to see what was up. Turns out he didn't know what to do with it and shelved it without calling. When I picked it up, the original screws could not be found. So they had to dig through their extra screw stash to put the unit back together. I lost my deposit I paid for it to get fixed, and took it home. I spent close to $400 and got nothing fixed. Very poor customer service and the inability to diagnose the problem and fix it are why I give 1 star. I highly recommend taking your electronics elsewhere.

I called to get my microphone fix. The owner said it was an easy fix, bring it in. When I got there. He said $42 deposited for the repair, use toward the fees when I pick-up. Today came to pick-up it not repairable. He charge me $42 for looking at it. Don't deal with this place.

Hard to find. Gives the address but not the room number. When I called at 1130 am to setup appointment to come, they never call back. They have a message when you call that is out dated. When I ask them to update Google with a room number they could care less. Dirty shop shared with guitar repair service. They charge $100/hr and they had never hear of my amp that has been out for many years.

I had an issue with my blues junior amp and they replaced the part but installed it wrong so it sounded worse than it did when I brought it in and the part they replaced it with was not even meant for the blues junior so that has caused further problems. When I called to point out the issue, the guy mansplained to me what he did and how it should have worked fine and told me to bring it in again which I did not as I had already paid 100$ to have it "fixed" and surely he would have just charged more. Would not reccomend.

One of Calgary's best-kept technical secrets tucked away in an obscure industrial bay with a guitar repair company. Old-school master-tech that always checks the hardware first rather than starting with an expensive computer analysis. 90% of the time you'll get out of there with a functioning instrument and a few hours of billing time. He's kept my Kurzweil stageworthy since the '90's and generally has good maintenance tips for your axe. You find yourself thinking "why didn't I think of that? Makes sense." Important caveat: common sense is in short supply these days and Lextronics is a sole proprietorship. Stampede, Christmas and other prime gigging times of year he can get backed-up. Try not to drop your instrument in the Bow then.
