Worked with this organization in two different cities and can say with confidence that management and programs need a LOT of work.

The Agency has safety issue and the receptionist was rude when I calling in. I would not recommend any program

It is not great place to work: the management is messy, not any support, not provided proper training. only to spend funders' money that is it. I would not recommend to work here. For programs are using old computers and equipment

It was a good place to work with my professional team, to learn HR staff, payroll processing, I was proud to be party of the Agency who is really helping people in needs. ?‍? I learned the skills as Project Management and Program Management, Budgeting, Cash Flow Projecting to additional financial related skills. I learned many HR high level professional skills as accommodation process and accommodation /accessibility policies; I learned many things related to β™Ώ Employment Law as the Ontario Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act (2000), AODA Act (2005), the Pay Equity Act (PEA), the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and the Labor Relations Act (LRA), Bill 168 – Ontario’s Law on Workplace Violence and Harassment; Registered Human Resources Professionals Act, 2013; ?β€βš–οΈ As the result of that, I totally voluntarily follow up of ?The Rules of Professional Conduct in any cases of my professional challenges at work and life; with learning scrupulous study of more practical cases and courts' decisions. That amazing professional experience has helped me to became more professional specialist in my field and allow me to be an Employment Law Enthusiast and Human Rights Activist.β›” It was a good place to learn absolutely new, unexpected, professional skills. I believe that the Agency shall have more inclusive and diversity as a team of employees and the Board of Directors as at least some employees in need to accommodation. I also believe that the Agency's Clients shall be more people in needs, not only health Clients and it should be more and more widely integrated in the Agency's whole business process. It is so sad that they have terminated me after 8 months of asking to get accommodation help. Valerie Martin has preferred to pay me out money about $20,000 instead to provide the accommodation to me. Before the employer refused to pay $350 to improve English and soon later to offer money and pay them out. The Learning Disabilities Association of Toronto is getting government taxes out of our taxes and discriminants people with disability. Nonsense or fact... That money would be over enough to send me to sick off (nope), to find the specialist to perform the best treatment (nope); to find any accommodation (nope): Just Terminate to go with me to the Human Rights Tribunal... I got Awards for Outstanding Performance: once I got severe disability, my work was terminated as some one else was prepared to perform my duties. They do not like to have an employee with disabilities and I have applied to the Human Rights Tribunal.

I was impressed with this organization. In dealing with a miscommunication in the agency that went right to the top, I found we were treated with respect and consideration. The programs are well thought out and tailored to meet clients individual needs. I would definitely recommend LDATD.
