★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had been looking at the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3 for a while. I was going nuts looking at the reviews online. And after a bad experience with Bose earbuds I got online, I was worried about active noise cancellation causing nausea, and having to wait weeks to receive the things only to have to ship them back.
Here, I got to try these in-person, and the guy there let me take my time with these. He even let me pull out my laptop to try the multiconnect feature. And I got to take them home right then and there.
It was a completely different experience. Different even to a chain store, and having a clerk ask me every 5 minutes if everything's alright. And the first year of the warranty is in-store. Whatever your feelings are about those things, at least you get to show someone the problem right there face-to-face, you know?
All in all, my experience here was exceptional.

Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy. They really know their audio. They’re very helpful and take the time to ensure you understand the product. One of my better customer experiences of late.
If you’re looking at spending $$$$ on audio, check them out!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely the best audio shopping experience I've ever had. Incredibly knowledgeable and flexible staff, never tried to upsell me, and made great recommendations based on my price range. The inventory is also incredibly for personal audio compared to other places I've been, had basically everything I could ever want. And most importantly, there were genuinely good deals that I couldn't get anywhere else. Ended up paying $300 for a perfect portable setup, which would have cost $375 somewhere else. If you're into home or personal audio, I 100% recommend Layton Audio!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s the best place in town to get audio stuff. The guys take their time to help you get the right thing. I never feel upsold, and the prices are pretty comparable to big box stores. Everyone complains that stores like this, full of experts and with a good stock, don’t exist anymore, but they do—you just have to choose to shop there. Heck, it’s more convenient if you are downtown!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These guys had a receiver (Yamaha R-N602) listed on their website that I couldn’t find anywhere else. I called to confirm they really had it and the person who handled the call was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. He gave me tips on how to properly order and when I called back ten minutes later, he confirmed the order was sent. I got my receiver in three business days and I live in a different province.
