★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Significantly lack ethical standards in product structures and services .
Their business model seems to be selling other secondary services rather than primary product. This young gentleman had no problem patronizing me and insisting upon the fact that I will make mistake entering license key and one year later I will have problem with the computer and have to go back to him to fix it.
So I must buy their install software service.
Perhaps this gentlemen does not know about DOS or windows 3.1.. lol. He was telling me I can not or capable of installing the OS that come with computer. Even though I told him I just want the computer, he was still insisting up on his idea by violating my consumer right. He hooked multiple product to this computer's tail. He was also playing with consumer's usual non acquired knowledge of computer technology. He does not know I have made my own programming language, for that language designed a compiler, and then designed a processor to run that piece of code and implemented entire software and hardware.
I am a trained computer engineer.
I don't like best buy any more. sad..:(
From best buy last 5 yr I bought 1 oven, two fridges, 2 lap tops, and sound systems including oculus 2,4 iphones, 1 desk top, Bose head phones, 52 inch tv,TV stand, web cam, key board, lg ultra wide monitor, I will add as I remember..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went there to buy chargers for my iphone & macbook as I was driving by to go somewhere else. I bought my iphone charger but when it came time to buy the charger for my retina display macbook it got weird, they didnt have my model in stock, instead of checking if other stores has it she really wanted me to buy a similar one & try it. I got impatient because she was searching online if this particular charger would've worked for my computer but obviously wasnt really finding much. I told her I was going to the apple store and she said to not bother because they didnt have it in stock, customers were coming to them afterwards to buy them… everything felt weird so I decided to leave and still check at the apple store and guess what ? They had it in stock (obviously) they'll do anything for a sale/commission ! I dont recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered a 55 inch LG UHD television and it arrived with a crack. I asked to have that returned to get a new one, but the second one also arrived with a crack on the screen.
Managing the return and pick up process is mostly outsourced to the customer to handle as I had to coordinate with Purolator to return these items. BestBuy may have good deals, but I would recommend anybody to not rely on their relationship with their shipping vendors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Usually my experience was relatively ok, not great but nothing terrible either. But that was until I got a real problem.
My PS5 controller broke (the R2 button) after less than a year and a half. At first I got lied to by getting told the Quebec legal warranty does not apply to reseller, and that I should see with Sony directly.
Then I got told they offer 50% off a new controller (that’s obviously the maximum the poor employee could do, his power stopped there).
Then he asked the store manager which didn’t offer more.
So in summary: first been told wrong informations about the legal warranty (which is already illegal), then told to go to court, then offered 50% off a NEW controller.
It basically means this store believes a console controller should not last more than a year and a half (I used it around 150 hours). Go to LaSource, GameStop, or order online on Newegg, CanadaComputer and other stores that care more about their customers.
And by « this store » I basically mean the store manager and the company, the poor 2 employees I talked to were either badly trained or were not allowed to do anything more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ BestBuy is a really great place! But all bestbuys are very different.
Tho I got mixed feelings for this one!
Pros:
- Very beautiful.
- Theres a LOT of selection!
- VERY well heated in winter (Perfect for someone like me who hates the cold lol!)
- Employees are not so much bothering your own researches ahah ~
Cons:
- Very VERY difficult to navigate in store!
- Some of their demos do not work!
- Employees are nice... But doesn't seem to know any of their products... (Not like it doesn't happen if every electronic stores right?)...
- Products are sometimes misplaced... Like... Large products, its weird.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - The actual customer service has no idea what the Best Buy policies are. Not properly trained, I'll equipped, and very slow and lazy.
No sense of urgency or customer care between both of their customer service areas.
Upstairs the laptop Microsoft people do not greet all customers and getting help with products is very difficult Upstairs.
NOTE: The ONLY people in this location who know how to do their jobs and greet customers are the Geek Squad. They are the only people who acknowledged my needs today but couldn't serve me as their job is not to be a sales representative on the floor. Avoid Best Buy at all costs in Quebec. The service pales in comparison to the rest of Canada ND the USA.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited 3 times in the past week. Highly recommend Alexis for his service. I didn't catch the names of the other two staff but they were really helpful as well. So continue to shop here! Also happy I was able to bring my old batteries and phone to recycle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I read the review section of this branch and was terrified about the customer service. In contrast, i found the person dealt my issue with professionalism and helped me to place a new order in exchange of newly purchased product.
Best buy needs to think about their product line up and come with more reliable stuffs, especially, electronic devices like camera, gimbal..
