Lakeshore West Dental Office

Very disappointed I have been a patient of theirs for a few years. Due to the pandemic I had to reschedule my last appointment and was not told I had an outstanding balance of $23.50. They sent my file to collections without telling me verbally after speaking with them on multiple occasions all due to a $23.50 charge in which they increased and tripled to $88.50 for what they call administration fee prior to sending it off to collections. I am extremely disappointed in this dentist, we are in a pandemic just because your business is not doing as well as it should gives you no right to take advantage of your patients and increase from $23.50 to $88.50. Absolutley disgusting. Yoi have lost three patients in the process of doing that and I am sure I was not the first nor will I be the last.

The bad clinic ever. They charged me twice for one appointment. I already asked how much I have to pay, they say no. For few months, they call me and announce I have a balance of 174$. After that, they send the balance to the collective to make the balance up to 239$. Never go there again, and never recommend anyone go there. So bad experience

Dr. Patel & Lakeshore West Dental Office are unprofessional, unethical and should be out of business. I was a patient until they decided to discriminate against me. For several days prior to my appointment they called to confirm I was coming. The day of my original appointment Lakeshore West Dental Office called to inform me that Dr. Patel was no longer accepting patients on ODSP. His staff then asked me to book an appointment to see the Dental Offices Manager, so they could arrange a system of payment (in advance) and then they could book a new cleaning appointment for me. I told them that as someone on ODSP, I can not afford to pay to see a dentist and I also do not have dental insurance. I therefore had no choice but to seek out a new dentist. Now all this is bad enough but Lakeshore Dental Office compounded their heinous immorality even further. I have been going to my new dentist, and I have an appointment booked with them for December. (I have not been going to Dr. Patel & Lakeshore Dental) for quite some time. I received a telephone call and my new dentist's office has a similar business name, my new dentists telephone number is (416) 259, my old dentist telephone number is (416) 251, when they called they asked if I was me, and I replied yes. They said they saw I had an appointment booked for December (which I do) I have a dental appointment with my new dentist on December 14th, 2021 and they asked me if I would change my appointment to Friday November 5th, 2021 for 10 AM, so I agreed. I went to my new dentists office because I believed it was them who had called to rebook an appointment. When I got to my dentist their waiting room was full capacity, they were fully booked for the day, and as we tried to sort out the rebooking telephone call, they assured me they did not make such a telephone call. They also sugguested that I try to see if my telephone still had in memory the dentist office who did call. It turned out to be Lakeshore West Dental Office. I phoned Dr. Patel's office and I explained how I was not one of their patients any longer, I had not been one of their patients for quite some time, and that it was them; Lakeshore West Dental who had severed the relationship with me, not vice versa. I told the reception employee that I expected a telephone call back from either Dr. Patel himself or from his Office Manager, and I also expected them to refund me for the amount for $6.50 which covers my TTC fare. It also needs to be noted that the only reason why Lakeshore West Dental Office was calling me after such a long time, is that they had a place in their schedule where they were not going to be making a profit, and so therefore were trying to fill this appointment with anyone just so they could salvage their profits. I received a telephone call back today, Tuesday November 9th, 2021 from Lakeshore West Dental Office. It was their reception staff. Dr. Patel & his Office Manager could not even muster up the integrity or professionalism to speak to me in person as I had requested. The dentist receptionist informed me the following "Hi, I relayed the message you gave me to Dr. Patel and our Office Manager, they do not want to speak with you regarding this matter, they also will not be paying you the amount you requested." And to rub salt in the wound the office receptionist responded in that sing song phony customer service manner "have a nice day." Dr. Patel might be a qualified practicing dental professional; however he is not an ethical or moral person. And Lakeshore West Dental Office discriminates against people with disabilities and who are on social services. John Douglas Toutloff

During my first few experience here, I was serviced with very professional and friendly staff members, hygienists, dentists, and others. They are well-spoken and very affordable. Considering the hardship of booking with dentists during the pandemic, lakeshore west dentistry is the best option and I highly recommend this dentistry for local families as well.

I’ll never forget this dentist. Actually scammed me. I had a lower front tooth that was in terrible shape, half broken. Came to them to get the work done and he asked me what I wanted to do. I said I wanted to fix the front tooth and he said well let’s get the other work out of the way first then we’ll address that. Two or three appointments later I was buzzed from the gas and I’ll never forget the words he said as I was leaving his office for the last time. The only job left in my mouth was the tooth I wanted addressed and Dr Sam Patel said “There’s nothing I can do for that, I’m not touching that tooth”. I was dismayed and let down from the whole experience and still feeling insecure from half of a missing front tooth for months. I went to an Asian fellow in Scarborough soon after that and he knocked the same job out of the park leaving me confident and happy for decades to come. It’s been a long time since this happened but just know it did happen. I’d hate to think it’ll happen to someone else because I said nothing. Absolutely professional dental practitioner who keeps himself up to date with teaching at school of dentistry. He is very to approachable and has excellent clinical approach. His staff are professional and accommodating. Hans known De Patel as family dentist for more than 30 years. Highly recommend

Absolutely amazing dentist. Detailed, very caring and very affordable. Dr. Patel takes his time to explain everything. He gave me options for my tooth but most importantly his listens patiently and took all my concerns and fears into consideration. The staff is also super nice and caring.

My entire family has been with Lakeshore West Dental for almost 20 years. Dr. Patel is absolutely amazing, super gentle, always polite and a true professional. He is great with adults and also possesses a unique quality - he is great with kids. My kids since there the earliest years enjoyed there visits to Dr. Patel. As to me, what i really appreciate at this clinic - Dr.Patel would never recommend any unnecessary procedures, will educate and lead through the entire process and will allow the patients to make decisions they are comfortable with. I also have to mention Magdalena, she is a dental hygienist and Lakeshore West Dental and a real fairy. Last time i had my teeth cleaned, i was so comfortable and relaxed, I almost fell asleep. Highly recommend this clinic for adults and especially for kids! Love you, guys
