Winter Tires’ Special Rubber Compound & Flexible Tread
Winter tires have a special rubber compound that is designed for cold temperatures and stays pliable in cold conditions to give you better traction in wintery road conditions. When the temperature reaches below 7°C, all–season tires become rigid and lose traction; therefore, TIRECRAFT recommends that winter tires should be considered for driving in these cooler temperatures.
Designed with Sipes
Small slits in the tire tread called sipes truly separate winter tires from all-season tires. Sipes in winter tires ensure that snow is dispersed, assist with acceleration from the stop position and reduce braking distances on slippery roads.
Look for the Snowflake Symbol
To ensure that tires are winter certified, look for the snowflake emblem. Created by the Rubber Association of Canada and the Rubber Manufacturers’ Association, this stamp ensures the tire meets specific snow traction performance requirements and has been designed for use in severe snow conditions.

Overall it was a wonderful experience. Huge parking lot for commercial trucks and trailers to park and turn around. Huge selection of tyres. Keep up the good work guys. ? ????

They replaced my burnt out headlight that was a real pain to replace in the first place. Overall I'm a satisfied customer ? oh and being a girl, they treated me no differently when informing me about my vehicle needs. Had my 28ft Class C in for front end alignment today - learned problem was with one of front brakes (repaired!) and dire need for timely tire rotation (done) - FEA was not needed. Excellent desk service from Craig, and shop floor service from mechanic Steve and the tire-changing guys. Definitely going to Kirk's for future servicing of my rig and its tires.
Large, pleasant customer waiting area, with free Wi-Fi and clean, well-appointed restrooms.
Because my service appointment was first thing in the morning, was given permission to park on premises overnight - much appreciated.
