Had isses here a few years ago, have had a lot of good experiences since. Great selection and seem to always have what I need in stock, equipment and misc parts. Staff are welcoming and go the extra mile. Happy to recommend.

I use Kerrisdale Equipment any time I need to rent some machines, repair equipment, or buy new tools. The staff are always friendly and helpful with any inquiry I have. They have two different locations which is pretty convenient too. Top notch service.

Excellent service received today from Kenny and the crew at the SW Marine Dr location. After a slight mixup, they went above and beyond to rectify. They delivered the equipment to my place, and even HELPED with the work I needed the equipment for! Then, since the work was all done, they took the equipment back (meaning I didnโ€™t have to pick it up, or drop it off, which was awesome)...and on top of all that, because of the mixup, they only charged me 50% of the rental fee. In summary, I would definitely recommend this business.

Very positive experience renting equipment here. We had a flood in our basement and we thought we needed a heater and fan, but the helpful gentleman encouraged us to use a dehumidifier and fan instead. The dehumidifier worked shockingly well and the damage to and under our floor is much less than we anticipated. Disaster averted. Thank you for the help!

I was calling around looking for an equipment rental and some of these other equipment rental companies are not very small business friendly. They allowed me to order a cement mixer and have a tech pick it up with out me being there... This was a big life saver for us. Then Ron was very friendly on the phone. They really did save our job thank you Kerrisdale Equipment

My first visit to Kerrisdale Equipment was very positive and the follow-up visit was even better. Staff, met Ken and a lady, were attentive, listened to what I needed, made suggests about what I should rent and how to work on my project to produce better results. There was no attempt to increase costs. When returning my rental, I asked if I could drop off a circular saw, that was not working, I thought past it, instead Ken fixed it for a very modest fee. Pleasant, friendly, helpful, I also know that professionals shop there, met one I know while there, and fair prices. This place deserves a high recommendation.

They told me they rent dehumidifiers but decided it would be a good to NOT tell me they didnt have any in stock. so i showed up before closing to leave empty handed. Idiots.

Initially I was pleased with the arrangement. I agreed to a delivery charge (first assumption) and a pricing structure and rental terms. I had rented the smallest Kubota excavator possible to fit a typical East Van house walkway. It was delivered and I went to work. When it was dropped off there wasn't even a condition inspection report filled out. After the driver left and I got to work, I noticed right away that the securing pin at the neck join of the shovel wasn't there as the shovel dropped. I had to put the pin back in and keep securing it every 10 or so minutes or risk it falling out again. Who rents equipment in this condition? Clearly they didn't check it over when it was last returned. I called the store to let them know I was finished and they said they would 'Stop the clock'. I assumed that meant that I would be charged a prorated amount since there was emphasis on stopping the clock. It wasn't. As soon as you pass the 4-hour mark on the next day, they automatically charge you for the whole day. That is reasonable, but it wasn't apparent or made clear. The next issue was the pick up. I rented the machine for a Wednesday and Thursday. It stayed in my yard all weekend without even a call to schedule the pickup. With space at a premium in the lower mainland, who can store these things without major inconvenience? The driver showed up on Monday unannounced and it was lucky that I was home. I had the extra shovel and key secured (as you would) and if I hadn't been home they would have had a second trip. And to talk about that, they decided to charge me for a pick-up. It was no where on the order form. No mention at all. At 100$ , I figured the delivery charge included the pickup. Nope. Had I been told about it, I would have considered it and made a decision. Instead, they had zero courtesy for me and showed up without scheduling and then charged me for it. I would strongly suggest asking a lot of questions before renting anything so that you don't get surprised by hidden costs, and maybe suggest going somewhere that tells you upfront about all costs you will receive.
