From the first conversation on the phone where we introduced ourselves and wanted to discuss our needs and a home we were inquiring about, Kelly was most helpful and patient with us. We live in Ontario and were wanting to discuss our situation of purchasing a home in Alberta for my mother and then also needing her home sold. As busy as Kelly is, she answered every question we had, she was always easily accessible, and very quick response time when waiting to here back. We had so many concerns as we are not physically there to look at some homes, but she went out of her way and drove out to the homes we were looking at she and walked us through and video face timed us so we can see and talk to her at the same time. She was never pushy, VERY friendly, patient, kind, reassuring, excellent communication skills. At all hours with the time difference she would answer any of our concerns and questions. When we didn't have contacts she was quick to offer a list of contacts, insurance companies, lawyers, inspectors etc. that we would need to deal with purchasing a home in Alberta. Right from the beginning to the end of the transactions of both the house purchase and sale of my moms home, we cannot say enough about Kelly and her work ethic and style. In selling my mothers property, it is a stressful situation, yet she always was calming, positive, confident and was excellent at negotiation regarding the sale price. Her team and stager Kim was so wonderful. My mom being a senior and widow was stressed and overwhelmed at times and Kelly was just so nice and kind and my mom just loved her. I honestly don't know what we would have done without her as an agent helping us. We are very grateful and can't say enough about her. We highly recommend Kelly Macdonald.

Kelly did an incredible job on my condo search and purchase. She was referred to me by a mortgage agent whom Kelly had represented for his own home purchase – about as strong of an endorsement as I can imagine – and she immediately set to work finding me my Beltline nerd cave. She is a capable professional to the core. As someone who genuinely dislikes the process and culture of shopping – even on the most basic necessities, let alone a high-stress lifetime purchase such as a home – I can genuinely recommend Kelly to anyone looking to buy a property in the Calgary area. I am an extremely picky individual and came into the search with a stringent list of criteria – many of which would be different from a normal buyer - and unusual personal circumstances that meant I had little sense of urgency; I made it clear that I would both be unwilling to compromise on key requirements and be able to wait indefinitely for the right property to come along. I am also an anti-social and personally awkward person with a natural distrust for salespeople, meaning that I can be a difficult person to work with in an agency and buying/selling situation. None of this fazed Kelly. She very quickly started on my search, but just as quickly narrowed it based on the ranked list of criteria I provided, and the feedback I provided on the units we reviewed. At no point did I feel pressured, frustrated, or as though Kelly was wasting my time; anyone who knows me understands that is a major accomplishment! At the same time she was extremely responsive, as I asked for details about units that piqued my interest or gave my opinions on features – usually late in the evening in a very casual, “I’m just happen to be thinking about this right now but no urgency” mindset - I would always receive a reply in a very short timeframe, either that same night or first thing the following morning. These responses would be on point, comprehensive, and focused on both my immediate criteria and the long-term value of any properties we were considering (such as advising on resale value implications of my unusual criteria). I was prepared for a long search, but Kelly managed to find the perfect unit in an unexpectedly short period of time. When I was ready to move on the property – both to view it and then to make the offer – at no point did she question my certainty or the immediate “snap” nature of my decision, trusting both that the balance of priorities I was placing on the criteria that were being met (or not) and that the mental vision I was overlaying of how I would lay out and decorate the space were solid. Kelly understood that the unit had nailed the most important things I was looking for in the features that can’t be changed – location, height, facings, and floor plan – even though many things that could be changed - colour scheme, staging, fixtures, and so forth – didn’t necessarily meet my specific, but less important, criteria. She also understood that I did not want a long, drawn-out cycle of counteroffers or to lose the unit to other buyers, and together we determined an offer that was fair, under my budget, and got the deal finished quickly. Even after the deal was done and we had closed, Kelly continued to assist with her solid list of referrals for professionals to make the needed changes and turn the property into the nerd cave I had in my head, and still provide feedback on those changes. I have my nerd cave, and ten weeks later, I’m still as satisfied with the purchase as I knew I would be when Kelly found it. Before/After what Kelly found vs. what I turned it into below! Thank you.

We were able to sell our home and purchase another home of our choice within a very short frame of time.
