★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite pit-stop on route to the cottage and on the way home. We always get the “small” and pick two flavours. Still a big fan of moose tracks and mint chip, but have also been loving the pistachio when it is in stock. Their seasonal limited edition flavours are always fun to try. The staff is very welcoming and they always provide generous scoops! Service is speedy even when it looks like the lineup is long. My dog is also a fan of the fruit/cream (don’t worry, no chocolate for her).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of different flavours, gets busy at times. Not much seating indoors but they do have outdoor patios. They even sell food from local bakeries and also sell Kawartha dairy merchandise.

They had no shame forcing an employee to remove their Black Lives Matter, Every Child Matters decals from their car. Oh, sorry, it was their Freedom decals, equally as political, equally as horrific to force someone to remove. Hi I'm melonie, and your Google reviews is now being met by the Fringe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The drive-thru is amazing! I’ve never purchased eggs via a drive-thru! We got super creamy ice cream, chocolate milk & eggs thru their drive-thru window on a Saturday evening before heading back to Toronto.
The service at the drive-thru was quick & efficient. My partner got a single sized black raspberry in a waffle cone - and boy was it HUGE. He was pleasantly surprised (and happy he didn’t get a double). I just got a single pralines & cream. The pralines were plenty and the ice cream was yummy ? Very good value for the money. I wish I lived closer, I’d visit often.
I’d definitely recommend Kawartha Dairy, Peterborough.

I personally never go into the store because the drive-thru makes it extremely convenient to pick up eggs, milk any other dairy products while you're getting your favorite ice cream cone. The staff are quick. The ice cream and products are great and this location seems to be very clean! They also have some fantastic coffee that you can purchase. Definitely swing by!

Sorbets are also worth trying. The large will have atleast 6scoops so check before ordering. If you want one scoop better go for baby size.
