Kamloops Satellite

Spoke with a nice lady on the phone and had set up an appointment to have xplorenet moved to a new address. We had a cost and time prearranged (it did seam low, but who argues with a good deal) On appointment date, they installer came out on time and in the morning. Which was awesome, he was very professional and quick. When he was finished my partner was told the cost was almost double what I was quoted on the phone. She was reluctant to pay what the installer quoted, and the installer knocked 50$ of the top of the bill. He than came back 15min later, she wasn’t home. He left a very heart felt note, and left a 100$ bill with the letter. It was probably the nicest thing someone who was a worker for a company has ever done. This man gave us 100$ of his own money to satisfy my family (we payed through etransfer and there was NO way for him to get a 100$bill anywhere but from his pocket) THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BRIGHTENING OUR DAY, Mr Chad!! I called Kamloops satilite promptly when I got home to complaint about the overcharge, and well sometimes things aren’t as good as you think. People make mistakes we are just people. Turns out when I was being quoted the person forgot to combine travel and work costs, and only quoted me for the work cost. The poor installer gave us the actual quote, which was the correct amount. When I told the person at Kamloops satilite what happened, they apologized for the mistake and when I told them about what the installed had done. They said they would do something special for them. Chad thank you very much for everything, and I am sorry if my partner gave you a hard time. We are just people and mistakes happen, thank you so much for trying to correct the issue yourself. I would give you 10 star review if I could! Kamloops satilite was honest and didn’t try to be anything but professional when we called back and I hope they did something special for you

Kamloops Satellite is a good company to deal with. Explornet on the other hand is not, if you have any other option, take it. Explornet internet is garbage, they do not deliver what they advertise, as far as speed or reliability. I pay for 25mbps download speeds and have never seen even 1 mbps. They have what they call a " fair use policy" which is supposed to give all of their customers equal bandwidth, it's a lie. The more you pay them the more " equal" it is, I have complained many times to the crtc to no avail. Unfortunately in our situation it is our only option for internet and it is necessary, as it is with a lot of people who live in rural areas.

Spoke to a lady about having the option to install ExploreNet. She wasn't that knowable and had a pretty poor phone connection plus a loud dog in the background. Spoke about arranging the date for installation. Recieved a call back the following week with dates we did not discuss. She said she would call back to confirm the prior dates and no reply after two weeks. I tried multiple times trying to reach them for confirmation. Long story short don't waste your time with this type of ExploreNet / customer service and get Starlink. Better prices with faster wireless speeds with easy installation. Plus do not have the yearly subscription / installation costs.
