Received terrible service. Had dropped off a laptop for warranty that was completely covered but turned out most of it was not. They took over 4 months to do the repairs and even when they tried to return it the first time they had damaged the keyboard and looked like a golf ball was shoved under it. This time i picked it up half the keyboard did not work at all. When talking to the service manager they tried passing it off as normal and they could do nothing about an he was very rude in telling me so. Avoid this place as they will never give you a straight answer to what repairs they have done

Came from out of town on my birthday to fix my external hard drive. Saw reviews and thought KCC will be able to help. I clearly explained the problem and what I had tried in order to save the data on the hard drive . Told them it was nothing to do with mechanical problem . They said they will β€œdo diagnostics β€œ by tearing apart the drive and let me know. Half hour later they call me saying they tried the same thing I tried and they can’t fix it. I have to send it to Vancouver and will cost 1000’s . Very disappointed as I already explained everything , then they charged me 50$ for their time and ripping open the drive for nothing .

I work from home and use my personal computer. When I went to plug in a USB cable this morning, a static discharge shorted my computer and it turned off. When I couldn't get it back on, I panicked. I'm a fairly tech savvy person, but I was busy and didn't have time to troubleshoot on my own. I took it to Kamloops Computer Center and they said there would be a $25 diagnostic fee, plus repairs. I left it with them and figured I would be down a computer for a few days. They called me in three hours, and told me the computer was booting fine, it just needed time to release the static buildup. When I went to pick it up, they had waived the diagnostic fee. I'm not behind on my workload and I didn't have to spend any money. Thanks! Speedy and friendly service. I'm definitely buying my next upgrade from here.

UPDATE: They saw my review and gave me a refund for the charge so that's nice! They charged me 35$ for a "diagnostic" which included the same basic tricks you can find with a 5 minute google search at home and that I'd already tried myself! My surface wasn't turning on or charging so they "tried a couple different chargers with no success in booting it up". When I asked if they could retrieve any data from it, they told me they don't do that kind of stuff. If I had known I was going to be paying 35$ for some dude to plug my surface in and leave it for 2 days and not even attempt to retrieve any data obviously I wouldn't have gone there. JUST GO TO YOUR LOCAL CELL PHONE REPAIR SHOP IF YOU WANT ACTUAL HELP FIXING OR RETRIEVING DATA OFF OF A DEAD DEVICE - Phone Depot charges 20$ to retrieve data and no such thing as a "diagnostic charge".

Bottom line Kamloops Computer has got your back FREE friendly advice and even troubleshot on my pc for a good ten minutes his self. If you go up and see them ask for Bill the man was incredibly helpful. With any luck, I may now resolve my issues. I'm also sure many other employees would have you back too. A must go to business for any pc related concerns or upgrades ???

They convinced and sold my uninformed older family member a $2000 laptop for simple office work and internet browsing. Of course returns are not an option.

Ive been dealing with the computer center for 15+ years ,Awesome ppl ,Bill .W. the tech ,who has helped me with the issues with my PC ,has always been very good ,and explains everything to you ,that he has done .I purchased all my equipment thru them ,at reasonable prices ,and they will even work with you on prices to suit your budget , they dont push you to buy stuff ,you dont need ,like the other stores do ,and they go out of their way to have your computer back to you ,as soon as they can ,they will transfer your data and confirm with you ,that its all there .All the staff are GREAT ,and i will always got to the computer center ,for all my needs :) Thank You to All ,and Bill .W . for all you have done for me Cindy R

Took a newly built computer in to get one of the parts updated and they weren’t equipped to update that part and gave me back the computer at a 50 dollar charge and recommended that we buy a part from their store. If you’re going to have your computer repaired go to spitfire computers downtown.
