the two vendors I go to in there Kilani & Q's Royal Jewellery are amazing. Reasonably priced and you get your money's worth when it comes to customization.

I love the jewelry exchange for cleaning and fixing your gold I shopping for jewelry here, they got the best prices and you can haggle! There are some good things at the flea market as well but you got to really be picky. coconuts are five bucks compared to 4 at the pickering flea market.

Great selection of merchants and great deals to be had if you compare and visit different booths. Don't buy the first thing you see, play their prices off each other and you will find someone who will beat the other guys price. In my case, Fahreed Jewellers "calculator" price was already better than anyone else's haggling price, he figured it all out, weighed everything and calculated in plain view, in front of me on the calculator and then proceeded to knock another $100 off. *Exact same piece Cuban link chain 10K solid - 24" - 6mm - 66grams ***More popular merchant, "@&" $2350 after haggling for over 1 hour down to $2200 final cash price. ****Fahreed Jewelry**** "calculator"price $2136 First price spoken to me.... """ Give me $2000"" Peeled of 20 brownies and left, all within 4 minutes. Proper honest buisness. Much appreciated.

Went to FORTUNE JEWELLERY to get a missing stone put in a ring. He told me I had to have a prong over it or it would fall out again. I paid extra for this and it wasn't done. The stone fell out less than 2 weeks later. Went back to him and he made excuses why the prong wasn't done and also why he didn't tell me it wasn't done even though he charged me for it. I told him I wanted another stone and the prong done this time. Got the ring back and the ring does not fit this time. He said to me "Did you gain weight?" It was one week, how could I gain that much weight in my finger in one week?? I thought maybe my finger was swollen so got home and tried on another ring I had that was the same size. It fit perfectly. They took some gold off the band of the ring probably to use as the prong. There is no proof so you have no recourse. He said he would contact the guy who he sent it out to and he has my number and would call me back. Really? He thinks this guy is going to admit what he did? I never heard back from him. I also had a pearl put back in on another ring at the same time. It lasted 2 DAYS!!! The pearl came out and I never found it. Now I have 2 rings that were sentimental to me that I cannot wear. Dishonest and crooked does not begin to describe this vendor and his "Guy" Stay away!!!!

Edited to add: After one month of wearing the gold chain I purchased, it broke. I’ve had chains for 20+ years, still going strong so this came as a huge shock since it was out of the blue. Took it to get repaired but #508/514 wasn’t there at opening. Went back a second day to tell them about it and they said they would only give us $100 for the $250 chain and said that β€œit’s machine made and can do that”. I am just at a loss of words, despite having so many in this review and that will be the last time I bring my cash to the Jewellery Exchange. Original review: I would give 1 star if my experience ended with booth #521/516 (Golden Treasures, according to the directory, but see image/map), but I would give 5 stars if I had simply gone to booth #508/514 (Susan’s diamond and fine jewelry). So we’ll meet in the middle with 3. I was looking for a rope chain and I was simply browsing. Stopped at #521/516. The gentleman showed me two that they had. I took off my necklace to compare the length and I pointed out it would be too thick for my pendant (as well as my taste) but before I could add that part my baby was fussing and so I was taking her out of the baby carrier for just a moment. In that time the gentleman took my pendant without me realizing, turned his back to us and adjusted the clasp from oval to mangled circle. I was horrified. I did not ask him to do that, I wasn’t even interested in purchasing that particular chain he made it fit for, and all the while he maintained his smug face, smiling at me like he did me a favour. He made it seem like no big deal and manipulated it back to the oval shape, at which point it was certainly not how it was. It was lopsided and with every ill performed adjustment it only looked worse and worse. The man did not even apologize till I called him out for not saying sorry and yet in the same breath he said my mother told him, which she certainly did not because she knew I wasn’t interested in a chain that thick to begin with. Do not touch people’s personal property without their permission or consent. He damaged my clasp, but thankfully a more skilled gentleman at #508/514 was able to make it look a bit better. It will never be as it was, but it’s better than how I left the first booth. We found a beautiful chain at #508/514 as well and it fits my charm without having to manipulate the clasp, which makes it a perfect match in my opinion. I wouldn’t have purchased a chain if the clasp needed to be adjusted anyhow, because it would have not suited my personal taste. To think it’s acceptable to damage someone’s property just to make a sale is disgusting and I would advise anyone and everyone to avoid booth #516/521.

Could not find anyone who sold silver rings except a oriental lady at a very small booth who appeared to do mostly jewelry repair. I told her I wanted a silver ring for my young daughter. She assured me it was sterling silver and it wasn't. I even asked if it was silver plated and she sad no.(I didn't have my glasses to look for the mark) It turned my daugthers finger green!!! And the ring rusted. I paid $50 for a hunk of garbage! !
