β β β β β Very busy little place. We were walked straight to sit down for the appointment no messing about. They lavished attention on my daughter for her manicure and did a lovely job on both our nails. Making my daughter comfortable for her first mani meant that I could feel comfortable .and relax. β β β β β Iβve been getting my nails done for the past 6 years. After recently moving to a new area, I decided to try Jennyβs nails due to the reviews and closer proximity. My partner and I scheduled an appointment for the two of us for today. The salon is a small studio on commercial, and upon entering the space is unkempt and disorderly. Upon sitting down, I sat for about 10 minutes past my appointment time with no one having acknowledged me. I initially booked for a gel fill, however they informed me I would have to have my set removed (I had a few broken nails) and that it would take 1 and a half hours and my partners pedicure would take 20 minutes. I decided to simply have a shellac fill. The entire experience was uncomfortable. The technician that did my partners pedicure threw garbage in the sink basin of the chair he was sitting in and the pedicure took 20 minutes. The technician did not speak once through the pedicure.
The technician used files and buffers that were well used, and the tools she used were not cleaned. Once my nails were finished, the cuticles and skin were smudged. The technician relayed that this was my fault as my nails were short (theyβre normal length). She proceeded to take a cuticle cutter to take the nail polish off my fingers, cutting my skin with it. I then requested she stop as I didnβt want my skin cut and asked if she could remove it with acetone. She said she could not, and that the polish would come off once I washed my hands (?). I encourage you to either go elsewhere, or simply donβt get your nails done. Anything is better

β β β β β Christina did an amazing job, she went the extra mile to reinforce a crack that was forming in my nail and she had incredible attention to detail with hand painting the tips of my nails exactly how I asked. Jennyβs isnβt somewhere you go for the decor or ambiance but their prices are so affordable and the quality of their work is very high. This is my new go-to place.

Even though i forgot to tell them I wanted an ombre when I made the appointment Christina had no problem going with what I wanted and she an absolutely amazing job. And kept checking with me at each step to make sure it was how I wanted. My nails are perfect and I couldn't be happier!
I got an acrylic set ombre with speckles like an Easter egg. Soo cute!

β β β β β I have been going to Jenny's every 3-5 weeks since 2019. I took a break for COVID from March-September 2020 but have gone back since to get Acrylics done. They are so professional, friendly, and incredibly skilled. Tracey, Julie, and Jenny are all great and have done my nails when I go! Their prices are super reasonable and they take really good care of you.
They always fix my broken nails for a very low extra cost to add to an acrylic fill, have a great selection of colours, and are really responsive to kind requests to change things about your nails. My friend and I love to go get our nails done together! Some highlights of my nails: a set with two nails crackled like dragon scales that was done by putting soap on the nails while they were trying. Space nails with pink and blue clouds and little white stars. Gold shimmery nails. They can do everything! They are especially great at shaping nails. Mine are always a really elegant shape with very few cracks or chips. My nails usually last about a month before they are so grown out that I need to go back.
It is not a place for a fluffy experience, it is to get your nails done. If you want a fancy spa experience, go to a fancy spa. They specialize in doing great nails without too much fuss. If you have a bad time here, its probably because you were being rude.

β β β β β Tried it out for the first time... Okay I guess. Place isn't the cleanness.
The technician I had didn't seem to understand I wanted some designs on top of the colour and was suggesting colours I didn't like.
She also mentioned I needed a base colour and another technician came over to correct her. I'm guessing she was new?
Also went ahead and cut my nails quite short, even though I mentioned I didn't want my nails to be any shorter.
Anyways, my cuticles are cut and bleeding now, and the gel isn't quite smooth along the nail tip. Hopefully it won't get infected as the tools didn't really seem sanitized, the staff members were just passing it around from a drawer.

β β β β β I have been going to Jennyβs for 3+ years now and have never been disappointed. I get acrylic fills + gel polish on a regular basis, sometimes nail art. Have also had a few pedicures there. Every technician I have had has been friendly, professional and efficient. Jennyβs is super accommodating with last minute appointments and everyone there is super receptive to feedback as well. Every time I have asked for nail art, theyβve done a stellar job and I have never had a problem with the acrylic lifting (and I have been to a lot of nail salons in Vancouver where I paid more and lifting still happened).
I have had Jenny, Tracy, Helen, and Julie as a nail tech and they have all done an amazing job. I recently had my nails done by Cristina and she was great too!
Their prices are super reasonable and they ensure COVID-19 guidelines are adhered to and the stations are sterilized.
I would recommend Jennyβs to anyone and will keep going there for years to come!
