You are already in the clinic and are still complaining while there are people that would probably be more than grateful to wait inside knowing that they would eventually be seen. I am pretty sure that we all know that we have a shortage of physicians for quite some time now and that maybe nobody want to be one because they get treated like this. Please read your comments again and see if sounds like a child whining because their mommy wouldn't buy them a candy

Excellent nursing care and the physician was prompt and responsive. Urgent care is a great option between waiting to a walk in clinic and going to the ER.

I called and left a message right when they opened at 8am today telling them that I was in an extreme amount of pain and that I needed to see a doctor… a lady called me back at 9am telling me they were at capacity and to “tough out the pain and try calling back tomorrow”. I was basically crying at this point telling her that I was in a ton of pain and think I might have an infection and she just said to either call back tomorrow or check medimaps. I asked what time they opened if they were already at capacity by the time I called (I left a message with a time that was before 8:10am) and she told me they opened at 8am, but they get ten plus calls a minute, so I need to try calling back tomorrow and then hung up on me. I’ve checked Medimaps and every other clinic is at capacity since they wait an hour to call me. Very unprofessional and her attitude was horrible. I don’t know if she was having an off day, but she should have showed some kindness to a patient calling in pain.
r	reeva rana on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently I had no option but to go at this clinic again cause I could not get into waitlist in any other walk in clinics. I was in pain. they diagnosed me with PID with just touching around my stomach, no further testing was done to prove it was PID, ate that medication for 2 weeks no relief my pain got worse, I did ask the doctor are you sure it is PID as in the past I have been diagnosed wrong two times. I just don't want to eat medicine just cause you think I might have PID. I wanted them to be sure. the answer I got back from this rude doctor was well we don't have crystal ball of magic to diagnose everything. at that point I decided I will never go back to this clinic as the doctors here have no sincerity towards the patient or their job and guess what here diagnosis was wrong again , ended up in hospital with a horrible pain, It was a simple case of UTI which got worse just cause the doctor didn't know how to her job and prescribe right medication
V	Vlad Uritsky on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would not recommend going to this clinic simply because it's very unlikely that you will get in. In a 24hr period that I tried to get in (Wednesday), there was only a single slot available, which I happened to get because I came in at 3pm for the 4pm walk in opening. The sick people lined up behind me were sent away and told to try their luck another time or go somewhere else. They didn't post the amount of spots, you can't call them to ask, you can't call in and reserve a spot. You can only physically line up and hope that you are lucky enough to get a spot. Once I got in I was treated very well and I have no issues there, but there is some sort of systemic issue here with the availability of physicians. So many people wasted their time trying to get a walk-in slot here that I do think damage was done through the sheer number of people who could not get care that relied on this clinic. This clinic unfortunately is not able to help the people it was designed to help - the average Victoria seeking quick medical assistance with an issue that they deem is not severe enough for a hospital visit.

When I called to get an appointment with my doctor (who is leaving) I was told the earliest appointment was 6 weeks away. No word on how the ministry is going to resolve this chaos. I understand tha health care workers are under extreme stress, especially at this clinic, but there must be a management issue that is causing all there people to leave.

E	Ed Laverty on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a diabetic from Ontario who is visiting the lovely city of Victoria for my vacation.One of my big concerns was to get medical care when I was here.After arriving I went through the phone book looking for a clinic that would take me and look after changing my dressing. So I made an appointment at the James Bay Urgent and Primary Care Clinic.I was so happy to be welcomed and from my first visit I was treated royally with the best medical care possible this clinic has made my vacation very enjoyable.I think I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful Clinic
