I was in Ikea today with one of my best friends in from Ontario who’s renovating her home in Port Burwell, Ontario. We met with with design adviser Bonnie. Amazing service, knowledgeable, personable and a pleasure to listen to her suggestions. Thank you Bonnie!

Busy on a rainy day because where else is good to go on a walk? Always fun to walk around the displays for inspiration...Admittedly less fun & more stressful when you have to find what you need in the cavernous warehouse. If cafeteria is too busy, then the grocery area by the cashiers has the meatballs frozen, gravy & lingonberry sauce you need! Also, bought a tin of ginger thins on our latest visit...I mainly bought it for the tin but the biscuits are also delicious (tin was more full at first) & I don't think they will last us to Christmas!

The all time go-to place for all home essentials. From the little things for your everyday life to furniture, you can find it all in a single store. Ikea has all the furniture that you need for a home, outdoor furniture, and many varieties of accessories to beautify your home. The top most floor has the furniture section and the restaurant. The top floor is good to take a walk if it is not crowded. You can get many ideas for affordable prices when you take a stroll through the store. Kitchen furnishing and accessories, lightings etc are on the second floor.

Great location. Most things available and food on the way out. EV chargers are great however they have been damaged for months. The clip to hold them in-place has snapped off and should be replaced for safe operation!

Customer service is really good here. Which I considered the most prospective in my opinion or feedback. It’s not the biggest IKEA I have been in but it’s good place to visit if you are looking for reasonable prices furniture and easy to assemble. The prices could vary from cost effective to higher prices. I found it’s not the easiest place to locate the washrooms or finding your way to the cashier. However from my experience with the other countries ikea it’s almost the same. They have dinning place inside ikea, and I think it’s reasonable price and the serving size of the meal is really ok.

How can you not appreciate Ikea ? We wanted a particular bed that wasn’t in stock and they texted me when a few arrived. We wanted to pay for it online and pick it up but we couldn’t, so I called and they answered right away. The friendly lady explained that because there were only four units, they could not guarantee that our order would go through because somebody might already be in the store picking the items up to purchase as we speak. Sure enough when we got to the Richmond store and as we were loading our cart with the second last bed, a young man came to pick up the last one. Now that’s customer service. Over the years we have had nothing but very good experiences with Ikea. Their products are getting better and better all the time. Sorry but I’m not a big fan of their meat balls but they have good and well priced packages of coffee.

I have visited IKEA branches in Canada in several provinces. In Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia. In Ontario, like everything, you feel as if you’re in a small village; everything there is limited despite the great demand. The Burlington branch is miserable, the Vaughan branch is unbearable, and the Ottawa branch is disorganized and messy. In British Columbia, I visited the Coquitlam and Richmond branches. Both of them, like the other branches, have been suffering from a constant lack of furniture since the beginning of the Covid closures until today. As someone who has visited IKEA stores in many countries worldwide, the experience here in Canada is generally poor.

Very pleasant to walk around and dream on a quiet day! Lots of items out of stock but helpful staff will set you up with alerts via text for when your items come back into the store! We stopped into the cafeteria for a coffee and snacks. Love that they scan your vaccination passport! Food is always yummy and inexpensive! Very nice eating area!
