I’ve installed these boilers for several years I’ve never had an issue, and most the negative reviews I’ve seen here sound like installation issues. I service and repair pretty well all the big brands and IBC is always my go to boiler. I’m a very happy customer

It seems people only write a review when they have had a negative experience, really promotes false information and makes it appear the product line is bad I live in BC and appreciate a company being very local to where I live. IBC boilers have some of the best integrated controls, most boilers require a lot of controllers to be added to give the same functionality. A lot of people do not understand how hot water heating systems work and how much different they are from forced air furnaces for example. The boiler can require a fair amount of adjustment if you wish to get the best efficiency from it. You can input some basic settings and let it run at a setpoint temp but then you are not taking advantage of the benefits these boilers offer. This company offers a decent warranty and seems to have honoured that in these reviewers cases. I am sure they will continue to honour it until the unit is working properly. I have had my IBC boiler for coming on two years now, it has DRASTICALLY reduced my energy cost going from a 10 year old electric boiler some yahoo installed in my house before I owned it. My house was built in the 40s and has a black steel and copper monoflow system running through steel convector radiators. My hydronic system and DHW is now amazing and works like a dream.

Our brand new boiler failed working soon after we installed. It took 4-5 days to fix it. The motherboard was defect. Only 21 months later, the pump broke down. The part was under the warranty but we had to pay the plumber over $200 for labor. The plumber said I don't have to worry about the boiler for long time when he installed it but now I worry when is the next time it will break down again! We spend $11,000 less than 2 years ago and already broke down twice. This is unacceptable! Bad product and I don't recommend to anyone.

Have an older (2012) IBC boiler that was installed with the house we bought. Has been running great since day 1. A week ago it pulled an error. I called IBC and got a technician (Chris) and he walked me through possible scenarios for the issue and solutions. We were able to identify the issue (low pressure error code) and find a solution, all over the phone, and he was supper helpful. The boiler works as it is supposed to and the customer/technical service was spot on. No complaints here!

Added updates: Dec 21 2019 The boiler stopped working again last night. It ends up that the whole house had no hot water and no heat in this morning! (Photos uploaded) I called their technical support. John told me that it possible the simplex module failed. I was wondering how come this boiler always has issues. It has issues from beginning (see the history). Every time i called a plumber in, it cost $180+. The worst thing is the whole house has no heat and no hot water. It is a nightmare to use their product. Everyone has any suggestions! Added updates: September 29 2018 The boiler failed again. I contacted the company a week ago to report my problems. John took the call. Ian was our technician, but nobody call us back. Also, the boiler always in the weekend. Helpless? Added update: September 23 The IBC boiler failed twice again lately. It needs to manually reset. IBC sent their technician came two months ago and said that they updated the whole system to the current new model equivalent. I really hate to deal with this every two months. Added update: May 31 2018 The IBC boiler is not working again lately. I have to manually reset the boiler every time. Also, the error message is different every time. I don’t know what else could go wrong. Photo is attached. Really not happy! Added update: March 2018 Another failure day!!! After the factory technician came by in Jan. The problem is still existing. If anyone is experiencing the same issues, please contact me. I think the product has design problem. I don’t understand how they past the inspection!! (Photo uploaded) Jan 2018 My brand new house is using IBC boiler. It failed 6 times within the first 4 months in use. The technician has to come back in 3 times. My neighbor experience the same problems. It is not a reliable product. Don’t risk your new house by using IBC boiler. All builders and plumbers should not risk your reputation and time to install IBC boiler.

I had purchased a home with an IBC 50 indirect HWT approximately 1 year ago. Developed a leak in the tank, called for warranty coverage as the tank has a date of manufacture of the 31st week of 2018. Was told since I was not the original purchaser to “call a plumber”. I am thoroughly disappointed that this company would not stand behind their product as it has only been in service for less than three years. I would not advise this companies products if you are selling your home. This tank has been in residential city water service.

I really wanted to like this boiler.. Been nothing but problems with it. for awhile the hot water was great..but had issue with the heat. After many calls to the company they finally sent out a part that fixed it. All seemed to be good for a month or so but now I can't even have a shower without running out of water. Tonight no heat..very little hot water. I really want my 40 year old furnace back...at least it worked and was reliable. I would stay away from this brand if i was you looking to purchase a new boiler system

As a technician in the field, this is my take on IBC as it compares to the other manufacturers of equivalent products. The IBC products look sleek and may work after installation but are plagued by constant issues and problems. IBC has really weak quality control testing. The tech support for the product is disappointing. Tech support is often completely unreliable in their feedback or genuinely doesn’t know the product. Example - they recommend replacing parts that are upwards of 1000.00 to the client and have no regard for whether that will actually resolve the problem. Just a “whatever” attitude as a client bleeds money. In some cases, tech support is not even fluent in conversational English….. There was a comment from the owners about “training seminars” for IBC. Never have I heard of or seen any in house / in person training offered for IBC anywhere. The biggest perk about IBC is they are always breaking down so my future is safe.
