J	Jerienne Esguerra on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came here for brunch on Valentine’s Day. While the food wasn’t bad (nothing special), the service just wasn’t great either. First of all, we asked for two chocolate croissants. Waiter gave us two plain croissants, then told us they didn’t carry pain au chocolat. I apologized and said I’m sorry, I thought I read it on the menu? He said nope, then proceeded to grab one. He then realized it indeed WAS on the menu and he was wrong. He didn’t apologize, he just walked away and came back with two chocolate croissants, blaming it on the chef who “wrote it on the menu”. The whole thing made no sense. There are definitely better places to catch brunch.

The dinner is highly sophisticated worthy of a 5 star restaurant, but I feel I had a hand in the very simple preparation! All is supplied and clearly marked. The courses are plentiful, all ingredients ready and supplied. it works out to little prep with lots of praise. I give such kudos to chef Webster and ask for more of the same through the year. Highly recommend!

As someone who eats out often, you can tell when a kitchen is focused on quality. The food is exceptional! Obsessed with the pastries and all of their speciality drinks!

Simon, our waiter, was friendly, personable and professional. The food and beverage products were fantastic, well presented and very tasty. The decor is stunning too! Thank you to everyone at Holt's Cafe for a brilliant lunch! I highly recommend! Cheers!

They had a lovely afternoon tea but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to experience it this time. We came in excited about the mimosa which was introduced to us at $10 which we thought was amazing! But then the server came back to say they ran out of ingredients and that the only options were cocktails at $18. We weren’t too happy with that. After about 30 mins or so, she finally came back to offer the same price for another cocktail. Changed my mind about the whole experience and so we were very pleased with their ability to offer a solution. We ordered the pancakes which were absolutely devine - fluffy, tasty ricotta cheese with light cream and blueberry sauce. Yummy! Will come back another time.

The new decor is open and bright with rich touches here and there. The food was great. Not a fan of the ricotta (made in house), but the rest of the salad was amazing. Perfect for an afternoon brunch. Haven’t had a mixed drink I didn’t like here. Their bar staff is always quiet imaginative and forward thinking.

The interior is beautiful and simple, service was good and efficient, and the food was not bad, but also not the best. I did enjoy my chicken and waffles.. we also loved the pancakes and the smoked salmon was nice and fresh from the bennies. The homefries were a tad bit dry and underseasoned. There was a good variety of items on the menu and all decently priced. A nice place to sit after a day of shopping though that's for sure.
