For a brand priding itself in being the pinnacle of luxury I expected much more. I went in the store today to check stock of an item and waited for almost 45 minutes before someone even acknowledged me. When I finally spoke to someone she basically brushed me off with “There’s a waiting list” When I asked to be put on the list she refused to do it. It seems this is a problem at this store as many other reviewers have said the same thing. At least acknowledge your customers. A simple “We’ll be with you shortly” is all it really takes. I went down the street to Louis Vuitton and got help immediately… I won’t be back to this store anytime soon

We all know Hermes products are unrivalled in design and quality. The new Bloor street store in Toronto is spectacular. The rest of the experience is up to the humans. Wow! We were served by the polite, patient, and knowledgeable assistant (Christopher) who helped us make a final decision on our purchase and led us to the cashier....and now for the lasting impression; A haughty, self important, manager type starts dressing down our assistant, and then proceeds to shoo us away from the area (clearly unaware of our waiting for the purhase to be completed) what should have been a fun experience was completely deflated. This manager type, voided the fun value of the experience and if she had worked for me, I would have terminated her immediately

The store is nice and the products are of quality, however, the store experience is a major disconnect here. After calling ahead to ensure we knew the store operating protocols we waited until taking it upon ourselves to find the item we were looking for. Staff offered no proactive help and the level of care for a first time customer was not pleasing at all. At point of sale no kind words exchanged. Will purchase online going forward.

I'll start with the good.. the person who opened the door and the person who checked me out were nice and friendly. However, I stood around aimlessly looking for assistance for over 20 minutes.. nobody came to help me and nobody even acknowledged my existence. Another client who was standing close to me was also looking for help and when she asked an associate for help they rudely replied "I have a client coming in 10 minutes I can't help you". How absurd! While I understand that as a client you can nake appointments to receive a certain level of service..as a company you should opt to staff your store adequately for your expected volumes to ensure people experience Hermes and not H and M. It was rude, and at the end of the day impacted your bottom line.. I had intended to purchase far more than one item but again I can only self-serve so much. A message to management: if you want an example of how not to run a high end store.. look no further than your Hermes Bloor location. I have zero intention of returning to the Toronto location despite my love for the brand. My experience is better and my money is better spent elsewhere on Bloor.

Such a poor customer service if you walk in with casual outfit, they totally despite you. The staffs would just ignore you, I mean they literally ignore a customer and a long long wait will occur lol. There’s a lady thought she’d help me with getting for the item I want to see but she disappeared in a moment. When I saw her and asked for help again, she told me just get one hurry up because someone was waiting for her. Well basically she didn’t want to help me, she came to help someone else who must look rich. I had ended up with getting the item which I’m not really 100% satisfied but I need it as a gift so I can’t wait to order online that’s why I was there. I think someone in charge should let these employees retrain their customer service course honestly, their performance is really worst.

In the middle of the pandemic, I always pass by Hermes but it was by appointment only and my job doesn’t give me the luxury of time to schedule one. I called them and asked if I can get help with ordering stuff. To my surprise, a sales associate actually called me back. I have since been shopping at Hermes and I book appointments with him to try to avoid wait time. Don’t get me wrong, I still wait to be helped but I expect this whenever I go to the store because there are other customers who would also like to take their time. Quality shopping takes time. It makes you practice mindfulness and it would allow you to be present in the moment. Most people would like to thoroughly see what they are spending on. So, I don’t mind waiting because it also helps me think about my purchases and how my husband would react to it. Joking. A true professional would give a good shopping experience for all and not just one customer. They have great customer service from the security who always would welcome people with a smile despite standing for hours, to the people at the back of the house and of course, the patient sales associates. They all make shopping more enjoyable.

Definitely not a high end customer service treatment like their products they are offering. Security was very helpful and actually the most friendliest out of all the people. Came to get a birthday present for my mother who is in an wheelchair and oxygen bound. Had to wait for quite some time until I decided to call the store while we were waiting. Marie asked me whether she could place me on hold and not even waiting for my reply she did. She said that she would come down and assist us with matching us up with an associate; and so she did. The associate, whose name I did not take, was not familiar with the type of products and the material being used. Cashier shouted: “Next….” I would highly recommend some customer service online courses…. what a shame…

I see a lot of people saying the staff is rude to people who dress a certain way. I just want to say I found my experience at the Hermes store was great. The freelance man who helped me with the colognes was the best, I’m sorry I forgot his name but this man was superb in my experience at the store. he was down to earth, friendly and extremely helpful. I don’t wear expensive clothes and wasn’t dressed up I legit wore my metro work hat and still got top notch service from this man
