★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a cool place. If you like DIY and/or upcycling furniture this is a great place to go.
Ended up with a very modern vanity light for the bathroom that I both love the look of but also increase the brightness by at least 50%
The staff is great to deal with and are super helpful

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In response to some of the negative comments - "can get better prices on Craigslist, Marketplace, etc" - of course you can! They have no overhead! No rent, no salaries to pay. That all has to be factored in to the prices. Re:Carpets - the prices are almost as high as new carpets" - they ARE new carpets! Re-Store does not accept used carpets. They may be old stock or samples or floor models or over-stock. Savings can be anywhere from 50-80% off retail price. Douglas Re-Store is like a treasure hunt! Slightly disorganized but always fun!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's great pricing and variety for diy projects- I see some people are comparing it to marketplace, etc. but less expensive by far and you don't have to deal with waiting to find something and connecting with someone to pick up etc. Also, just different- this is more for if you have a project at home and want to put it together without having to spend a ton and run all over the city. Also, it's a warehouse staffed by volunteers- I'm not really sure what people are expecting but it was fine ?New closet doors and shelves to reorganize for under $50 - can't complain

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Formerly a favourite store to find bargains , it is still possible, but increasingly rare,, prices are , on many items, out of step with reality and often are inconsistent from location to location for the exact same item. Sometimes worthwhile on the monthly sale day, otherwise I now rely on Craigslist.
