All the instructors are very professionals and friendly. Lessons are for kids; adults and Family program. They teach everyone in a funny and professional way, offering also many services, such as pickup the kids from the school and much more. My son is very happy to attend the class every day. Lovely place

You learn something new everyday from 3 black belts and 2 brown belt instructors. They try to maximize the days of the week to include as many classes for you to take part in. Can't comment on the child care service, but seems like they have a very good program.
E	Elim Ou on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For a school that is barely two years old, this academy is flourishing! I've visited 6 different BJJ schools in total and I chose GFTeam Canada as my home. The main reason I chose GFTeam while gym shopping in Burnaby is because of the head instructor, Rafael La Porta. 4th degree black belts are very rare in BC. He's probably been a black belt the longest in Vancouver. Plus, he's simply a good man. Their teaching style is very methodical and organized, so the techniques stick with me. The class structure is the most conducive to my learning and I've noticed considerable improvement in my game since joining this gym. They are very very emphasized in perfecting the fundamentals, something that I've seen is lacking in some of the other schools. You are getting authentic, top notch Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training here. In my opinion, they have a very female friendly jiu jitsu environment. They started out with barely any women, but they have a growing team of them. The students and instructors care about your safety in training. When BJJ gym shopping, you want a school that is conducive to your BJJ learning and has no drama with minimal controversy. This is my favourite place for that. BJJ can be scary for new female practitioners! But I was welcomed like I was family. I've never been treated differently because of gender, and that is one thing to watch out for when BJJ gym shopping. Monthly rates are very reasonable, compared to other big name gyms with high level black belts in Vancouver. Another big reason I chose GFteam as a college student.
G	Gonzalo Arratia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Where do we begin...One of our children started Brazilian Jui Jitsu 3 years ago in the little grapplers program. He has since gained an abundance of knowledge and confidence and he is proud of his progress and work!! Since then, our eldest daughter has joined and embraced the gentle art of BJJ, It is a great outlet for her!! Last but not least, my youngest son wanted to try GFTEAM CANADA also, but with his love of Ninjas, he decided that he would try their karate program first, and he loves it. The instructors are Kind, Knowledgeable, Caring and welcoming! As a parent, I enjoy seeing my children be challenged and persevere through it all...a great life lesson we believe! I also notice them happier and smile a lot after their classes as their minds and physical abilities were challenged!! They Also have a 40 years and older BJJ class, so I guess that means I'm next...Can't wait!!

In his confidence, independence, social skills, and fitness. He is also much more respectful, disciplined and focused. He spends less time playing video games, even when he is at home he practices moves and works out instead of watching TV!!! I am totally blown away with how much of a positive impact it has on him!!! His instruction is clear, friendly, and welcoming. Even without any grappling experience, I am able to learn effectively, and I notice my improvement even after 1 month. My classmates are all nice and helpful people, and the gym is welcoming to everyone from all backgrounds and cultures. The gym is well lit, very organized, and clean. I would definitely recommend GFTeam to anyone considering training in BJJ. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow at GFTeam.
