I tried to review the products on their website of the equipment that I had bought. None of the reviews were ever put online, yet I am now consistently seeing "5 stars" on products that I tried reviewing way before they were ever there. Their entire review system is fabricated. Never trust anyone that limits your speech. The return policy is also absolutely horrible. Zero stars if possible.

I have spent thousands in this store but after my last two visits they have lost a customer, given the extremely poor service from Daryl. A week ago, I visited the store to buy an extension for my adjustable dumbbells. I found the salesperson Daryl, to be rather rude and abrupt but despite this I wanted the product and proceeded with the transaction. Daryl was able to pull up past receipts to ensure they were selling me the right extension. However, it turns out they did sell me the wrong thing. When I bought it both Daryl and Mark (the manager), said if it isn't the right thing, I can return it and even wrote so on my receipt. I told them I would come back the following weekend to return it if it wasn't. The morning I went to return it I had misplaced the receipt but figured they could pull it up on the system like they did the week prior. Daryl totally remembered me and the entire conversation, until it came time for a refund. Then he suddenly, he had amnesia and couldn't remember a thing. He refused to pull up the receipt on his system. When I asked him "do you not remember the conversation I had with you and Mark?". Do you not remember writing on the receipt I could return it? All he kept saying is I need the receipt. This would require me to go home and try and find it. Fortunately, I was able to eventually locate the receipt and got my refund, but the way in which Daryl spoke to me, and showing no interest in customer service and helping me, I will find another place to buy any future exercise equipment. It's unfortunate, because I found the manager mark nice and helpful, but after reading other reviews they clearly have an issue with some of their staff.

Even though we spent hundreds of dollars there, we received terrible customer service from Daryl. He was unhelpful and rude. I would not go back to this location ever. The sidewalk leading up to the entrance was super icy and when I mentioned it to him, he just dismissed it blaming the landlord for the responsibility. Daryl was definitely not trained on proper customer service skills. He should not be working in this industry if he is that miserable doing it.

I rarely ever post bad reviews about businesses but after the experience I had today at this Fitness Depot location, I thought it would be worth mentioning. I walked in today hoping to buy equipment for my basement gym and wanted some additional knowledge from a sales associate about the equipment I was looking to purchase. However, what I got instead was their sales associate, Daryl, speak to me in a condescending manner. He made me feel as though my questions were stupid and I should have already known everything there is to know about the exercise equipment I wanted to purchase. He was rushing me out and you could tell he just did not want to help me. Won’t be buying anything from this fitness depot.

I would encourage anybody who does not want to associate with mask nazis not to shop here. I wore a mask in the store purchased my items and when I went to take delivery in the back I took off my mask as I was outdoors. The manager literally would not give me my bill of sale unless I put my mask on while I was outside. I reminded him I was outside and there was no mask mandate outdoors and preferred not to wear my mask. He started to record me on his phone and began admonishing me for not respecting health and safety protocols and literally refused to give me my bill of sale so I could leave unless I put my mask on even though I was outdoors. He was very rude and clearly flush with the power of telling others what to do. It was an extremely negative experience. Avoid at all costs!!

I went in to make a small purchase. They don't take cash. Fine (although that is illegal). Asked for my name, address and phone number. I don't want to be on a mailing list so I politely declined. The man insisted, so I said John Smith, he refused to accept that and asked for my real name. I refused to make the purchase and told him he is exactly like the reviews on the internet. He said he needed my real name because they sell treadmills. I said there was a sign saying no returns or exchanges, so why do they need the info. He repeated again that the computer system requires it. I walked out. AVOID.

Why does Fitness Depot require personal information to make any in-store purchases? According to the staff, there is no opting out. The sales rep wouldn't let me purchase anything. I walked out empty handed. I can buy similar fitness gear from Walmart without needing to give anybody my name or other information. I provided my initials, but it wasn't enough. The sales rep decided he wanted to argue the point. Why?

Only place i found with a good selection of rubber coated plates. They hv many n stock & dumbbells. The price is far better then othrz.
