UPDATE: even worse experience, a second community manager started ignoring my emails. FSR responded to this review asking me to email their general inbox with my experience and now they have been ignoring me too. Their customer service and management is embarrassing. Don't move into their buildings. Generally has poor and unfriendly/rude management but I had one particularly bad experience. The manager at keynote one told my parking neighbor to tow my vehicle even though this neighbour was asking for her help when I accidentally parked in the wrong spot. They had my info on file in the office and could have easily called me downstairs. The next day when I inquire, she assures me if anyone had approached her she would have called - she likely wasn't expecting me to speak with my neighbor. I confronted her again and she admitted to telling them to tow my car. I call customer service (the US rep was very friendly) and they advised me to email the community manager. At first he took my info and seemed helpful but has since been ignoring my emails.

Last winter (2020-2021), we got a puppy. We trained our puppy on the front patch of grass, which killed the grass. FirstService understandably wanted the grass fixed (replaced). I asked if I could try to fix it myself, and if not fixed in a month, we would pay for someone to replace it. They declined this (for a reason that is now obvious), and insisted someone come and replace it. After it was finally replaced, it was not cared for at all and arguably looked worse than before. They proceeded to not charge our landlords for the remainder of our lease (~2 months) and not until 6 months after we moved out. The crazy thing is they charged us $800+ for a patch of grass maybe 15’x4’, that took the workers maybe 45 mins to replace. I now understand why they didn’t want me to fix it, as they wouldn’t make a crazy amount of money on it. Thank god I allegedly dealt with a siding change myself when I allegedly accidentally melted it (allegedly). This, mixed with waaay too strict of rules, poor service and communication over our lease has lead me to leave a 1 star review. There is a good way to manage a townhouse complex, it is not how FirstService does it. (Live somewhere else)

My wife and I had exceptional customer service from Crystal Johnson of the Calgary office. Despite a lot of condo sales in the market and the extra workload this adds to Crystal and the administration staff, Crystal processed our paperwork in record time to help with our sale of our condo. It is so refreshing to see such strong and diligent customer service in an under appreciated industry. Thanks Crystal, you are amazing!!!

Excellent experience with them. FSR serving our condominium Corp for more than 10 years and it has been a great working with them. Recently requested documents on their website and Thanks to Crystal Johnson who provided me required document on time. It was much needed and time sensitive doc. Thank you guys and I highly recommend them.

As a mechanical contractor, I work with many property management firms. First service sets the standard for honest communication and service delivery. All the managers take great pride in understanding their corporations buildings and manage with the best interest of the corporation in mind as if they are residents themselves. I've had the pleasure of dealing with Angela Murphy in particular on very intricat building problems from design errors to product failures. Her professionalism, understanding, and attention to detail really does show the sincere level of service all First Service Residential employees exhibit.

I have been dealing with Megan Madden at FirstService Residential with the owning and sale of our Condo. Megan and FirstService has been excellent to deal with. They have always been very prompt with responding to phone calls and emails. It has been a pleasure working with Megan and her team over the years.

I had a super great experience with FirstService Redsidental. I have the immense pleasure of working with Kelsey Martin at First Service who has been absolutely wonderful. Its my first condo, I had alot of newbie question and not only did Kelsey answer everything in detail with attached docs but like minutes after I asked which is such rare thing in any business, instant answers are a extreme hot button for me, so I love everything about this company.
