He drove an hour and a half to meet for a 6 a.m. shoot and happily followed me around town as we hit different locations for drone shots. He wasn’t just a camera operator, either. Once I explained the theme of the video to him, he seemed to become as invested in the piece as I was, and at each location he helped by suggesting different shots that hadn’t even occurred to me. As a bonus, he’s also not a bad guy to hang out with on a five or six hour shoot.
