G	Gary Lo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We met David, Marianne and Joel at the Canada Bridal Show while searching for a photographer on very short notice for our small at-home wedding. They made an impression on us immediately by the level of detail and interest that they showed in our wedding plans, and quickly made our short-list as we went through the options. Our concern was because we had relatively simple DIY decorations and a homey setting their talents might be wasted on us, but they reassured us that their forte was in making magic moments happen out of nowhere. We are so happy to report that the Lai family delivered on that promise and then some. The resulting photos we received of our wedding day are amazing, and we are so impressed with the skill and creativity that David, Marianne and Joel showed in creating beautiful, dramatic shots out of objects and locations that we had around the house. We are equally impressed with their energy, professionalism, friendliness and how much care they took in making sure our friends and family got great photos with us. Many of our guests commented about how much fun this family photography team was to hang out with! Thank you so much David and Marianne, and special thanks to Joel for being our extremely helpful stand-in groomsman/bridesmaid!

After our first meeting, my now husband and I literally signed a contract on the spot because we were blown away by their work and their passion for what they love to do. Fast forward to 2020 when the pandemic hit and our wedding got cancelled 1.5 months before our big day. Visions by David were great about rescheduling with us and this past August we were finally able to do our dream wedding photoshoot. The results were amazing and it's been great working with David and Marianne. You can really tell they absolutely love what they do!

David and Marianne guided us part for part, pushed us to get all the things we needed and helped us to conceptualise our shoot. On shoot itself they guided us with clear and constant directions to get the best possible shots, using the space and crafting new shots, new moments, time and time again. We felt like it was our wedding day again and relived all the fun and joy and now have a barrage of very wonderful and strong photos that both my wife and I can point to and say: "here, this was what the moments of our lives were like, this was the rush and the emotion of when we finally could be together!". On top of that, they captured heartwarming and rare photos of my family members together with us the couple, giving us family photos to hold onto and enjoy! Every time I look at my wedding photos, not only am I reliving the moments but remembering the photographer himself as someone who showed so much hospitality towards us that I can easily say that he was like another family member at our wedding. When I look at the photos, I can tell he accounted for every single angle and prepared ahead of time for every single moment that I would have easily overlooked. I can remember his wife encouraging me to do videography for my wedding as I was reluctant to in order to save money. It is my greatest regret that I did not do videography. I can hear his wife, Marianne speaking to me in a motherly tone to do videos for my wedding and it was out of love (not business) that she mentioned this to me. I can tell that this family business is more than just a business. They really cared for the people they worked for, and made it fun for us to shoot with them, especially because my husband has no experience taking photos! Thankfully, even without professional videos, I have thousands of shots to look at that help me relive one of the most important days of my life! I strongly recommend!!!

We hired David to shoot our backyard wedding celebration and were blown away with the resulting pics! David has an incredible talent for capturing beautiful, genuine portrait pics of family and guests, as well as our couple shots. David’s true talent shines as he’s not only gifted in portrait shots, he’s also incredibly talented in capturing artistic, scene-setting shots. It’s extremely rare to find a photographer who can do both beautiful, artistic shots as well as portraits. We were blown away by both. On top of the great images, David and his team/Marianne were such wonderful people to work with. They were very communicative and responsive to our questions, before we hired them, after we hired them through the wedding day, as well as after the wedding. Every step of the journey you knew their focus was to ensure we were happy with the pics and had a wonderful experience. To top it all off, the pictures were ready so fast! It was such a treat to be able to relive the day with family and friends who stayed on after the wedding. We can’t say enough wonderful things about David and team and highly recommend them to anyone looking to capture a special day, whether wedding, family occasion or special event.
