The staff was calmly cleaning the damage and debris, while the amazing owner helped a neighboring business secure their entrance after they too endured damage. He was kind enough to stop and see that we had what we needed, despite being unable to take payment at the time, as registers were down. I was deeply touched by this gesture, and by the kindness shown to all that he encountered. I highly recommend Farmboy.

They have a large selection of products at really reasonable prices, especially their fresh meat. They have a really good selection of different types of meat, produce and frozen ready meals.

It's so much cleaner, brighter and organized. I have shopped here for years! The meat prices can't be beat and if the cut you want isn't in the fridges, the butchers will get you exactly what you want. The cashier's are mostly fantastic, there's one unfriendly small lady, her name starts with a D but it escapes me right now, that's been there for years and seems to not like her job or any customers. I just avoid going to her line. The produce section is terrific and there is much more fresh selection than there used to be. The deli section has the best prices. It seems that their prices never go up. I was embarrassed for the lady in front of me, she was being served by the older lady, that's also been there forever, with the pink hat. Pink hat lady was so ride and abrupt. The customer looked so embarrassed. Thankfully the lady with the glasses served me. She is always so incredibly pleasant and always makes sure I get exactly what I want. The grocery section is a little smaller than it used to be. And the prices are higher than most stores. But they do have some really good weekly deals. The garden centre in the summer is unbeatable. Such a great healthy selection. And the man that runs it is so helpful and knowledgeable. Other reviewers are right, the parking is not always the best. I just park at Burger King. And sometimes Peterborough this week. I suggest if you haven't been here to check it out.

For years they had one of the area's best prices for milk, eggs and yogurt but sadly, the prices for everything have skyrocketed (as every other store has as well). But to go from $.69 to $.89 then to $.99 so quickly - sure it doesn't sound like much but as we all know: it all adds up. The poultry & meat here are decently priced too. One big negative is expiry dates - many products have either expired or are close to expiration. We know that doesn't necessarily mean its inedible but its got limited shelf life for sure. So always check exp dates. As far as other groceries that one may pick up when they're in the store for meat or dairy, its pretty expensive. So, big Pluses: Locally owned; best bread at decent price; fairly priced meat & dairy; and if you're lucky, next door Burger King is charbroiling burgers so the smell is heaven. Also most of the cashiers are very nice. Negatives: rising prices; expensive non sale stuff and expired or close to expire foods. Would I reccomend Farmboy? Yes. With a heads up about aforementioned things.
