★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to cancel auto insurance. Had insurance papers, ownership papers, licence plates and my driver's licence. Was informed by the staff member that I couldn't cancel insurance until the purchaser registered the car! Moreover she informed I would be responsible for any damages to the car under my insurance until it was registered again. Turns out this was entirely false, and caused me a lot of grief. Phoned ICBC and got the correct information. Then called another agent in the area who confirmed all I needed was insurance papers, licence plates and my drivers licence. Job done. Obviously some car insurance training is required by this staff member.
