Great service all round. Notified me when my Baratza Virtuoso arrived for service, call from Malcolm to say it was beyond repair (> 10 years old!) and he then emailed me some options to choose from. I am very happy with my new Virtuoso Plus grinder; perfect espresso first grind and it will also grind for French press. Thank you Malcolm and the team at Espressotec. 1st class service as all of the above took only 5 working days.

Went in to just scout out buying an espresso machine. Salesperson was very knowledgeable, helpful, and not pressuring to upsell us. Great experience and we decided to take the plunge and buy the machine that was recommended after visiting

Okay. So where has this place been for the last 20 years of my life!?!? I started out just like everyone running over to Starbucks and purchasing beans thinking that I was getting the best coffee around. Nope. I hated the bitterness, acidity and over roasted/burnt beans. I then ventured out and began to research the best beans and tried a few various local roasters. A good start, but I needed to dial it in a bit more. A month ago, I read various blogs and reviews online where to find the top rated beans. I came across a few local roasters and stumbled across Espressotech. I popped in a few weeks ago and met Joao (born and raised Brazilian ) who took the time to find my likes and dislikes for a perfect cup. He recommended Mogiana and let me sample a cup and that of two other beans for comparison. They have over 40 differrnt types of coffee you can sample!!! He even asked how I was going to brew it and suggested some tweaking and dialing in for my machine at home. Boom. Home run. My Breville Oracle has been pulling perfect shots of Americano and the lattes are on point. I cannot believe how much I look forward to my coffee now every morning. I went in today to reload and he suggested a few others although I purchased Mogiana without hesitation. I will be purchasing the other two the next time I'm in. Finally, a place where you get one to one customer service by someone who really knows coffee, origins, the process and just isn't selling you what's popular or pricey. I HIGHLY recommend people stopping by. I've sent three people and they've all raved about their selections. Joao you're the man!

I was looking to upgrade from an entry level fully automatic espresso machine to a higher end double boiler espresso machine. I spent weeks online reading reviews and watching videos and finally came down to two machines. I noted that the 2 brands I was looking to purchase were offered from mainly online sales located in the United States. This concerned me because who could service my machine when I needed that type of support, I preferred to purchase from a Canadian distributor. I didn't like the idea of shipping it out of Canada and paying transportation if anything was to go wrong. I was very fortunate to find a "Brick & Mortar" supplier Espressotec Sales & Service just 30 minute drive away and could actually talk to someone in person. So I found the time to visit the store and was greeted by Malcolm who showed me around the store, talked about the different models and explained the benefits of the two machines I was interested in. During my time at the store I was treated to a great espresso and demonstrations of the machines as well the benefits of having an upgraded grinder. I was there for over 1.5 hours and Malcolm answered all my questions and I never felt rushed, it was time for me to leave and to think about my options. Malcolm let me know he would email me some brochures for me to review to help me decide. Again no sales pressure just information to think about. The next day I had decided on the espresso machine and on an upgraded grinder. So I called Malcolm and informed him of my budget for these items and he was able to put a package together along with a starter kit that made sense so I drove down to Espressotec to purchased my new grinder and espresso machine. Thank you Espressotec for your fantastic sales and service, Cheers, Ron

I've been going to Espressotec since early 2018 after I moved back to Vancouver. Initially, I went there in search of good espresso beans and in fact found excellent beans (9 Bar). Everytime I went in I would look longingly at espresso machines. During one of my early visits I met Seamus. A nicer, more patient, more knowledgeable "coffee" person I could not have found. A few further visits and conversations with Seamus over a finely made latte continued for a time until I bought my Rocket Appartamento and a very good quality Eureka grinder. I could not be happier with this pair of machines. I'm still very much a novice when it comes to the precise dose and the perfectly pulled double shot but even the worst cup of coffee I've made thus far is vastly superior to anything I've ever made at home prior to now. The products Espressotec sells are of superior quality and yet it is the friendly and very knowledgeable sales staff - just like my man Seamus - that resulted in the sale. For anyone looking for anything coffee related, go and visit the good folks at Espressotec.

I purchased a replacement part for my espresso machine at Espressotec. However, I decided to return the part following day. The return was refused because it was apparently a final sale item. The sales person did not mention this at the time of purchase. I was told by the manager that it’s the customer’s obligation to know the policy before making a purchase. She also pointed out that it’s written on the receipt (which you wouldn’t see until completing the purchase). Poor customer service. Unfortunately they have lost a customer as I will not be shopping here again.

On our way to Fujiya, we drove by this place all the time. It looked so industrial outside along with the fastener place that we didn't think of going inside. Today, we needed a milk pitcher and decided to check this place out. They have to-die for home-size Rocket Espresso Machines and other brands which are not pictured here. They do not have Bellman Stovetop Steamer or other stove top espresso gear. They also don't have Lagom grinder. Their grinders are quite a bit larger and mostly exposes the beans to light and air. BUT they have four shelves full of coffee beans from different companies, and other espresso making accessories. PRETTY COOL PLACE! We'll definitely come back for barista oat milk and coffee beans when we need new supplies!

I had a really great experience when inquiring and buying an espresso grinder. Most of my correspondence was through email but Malcolm was very prompt when replying. I never had to wait long to hear back. He was also able to answer all of my questions I had in regards to the grinder. I ended up going with the Specialita and I'm very happy with it. They were also very flexible in terms of pick up and I was able to arrange a family member to pick up the grinder for me. They also provided a bag of espresso with it (although there was a slight mixup and I ended up with 2 :)). I also had a separate order I put through for some coffee beans and more of their espresso. I had it shipped (even though I'm local I wasn't able to drive due to the snow) and it arrived really quickly even considering the holidays! I'm really happy with both experiences so far and hope to make it to their store one of these days!
