★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wrote and visited to observe the Solo. ICBC said the one I drove was insured buy under closer review of the insurance documents the paper was worth more than the insurance because it, Solo, is not even certified in Canada! In fact it’s parent company Electra Meccanica has ZERO approvals as a manufacturer and as such the Solo is in uninsurable vehicle, it has no air bags, and has never past a single unit for certification by Transport Canada. Only California approved Solo and that was only because they downgraded the Solo to a motorbike. this is a snake oil salesman deal. Save your money for a real hybrid or electric vehicle which has a reputable manufacturer and has gone through all the red tape and safety tests to earn Transport Canada’s official stamp of certification. Don’t be fooled!
